The only thing we've learned so far is that 1 out of 10 doesn't really seem to mind that much.

People forget the whole phrase. It's "Great minds thing alike, but fools rarely differ."

The German version is very straightforward: "Two idiots, one idea."

English: "Great minds think alike".

Pfft, Hasbro did that 12 years ago with Slumblebee and Optiplush Prime

@  Xellos : (19 February 2019 - 12:37 PM)

Well, this past Christmas I did see licensed plush Transformers that went from their robot to vehicle mode by turning inside out just like popples.

@  wonko the sane? : (19 February 2019 - 12:02 PM)

Why DIDN'T transformers make plushes ala popples?

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2019 - 11:04 AM)

Design in mixed media and make him out of actual flannel.

@  Lancer : (18 February 2019 - 09:24 PM)

Make his fur a red and black flannel pattern

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:10 PM)

Bonus points if you can work in a red and black flannel pattern on his chest plate.

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:09 PM)

Might as well make it cliched. Lumberjack moose male and aristocratic deer female.

@  TriBlurr : (18 February 2019 - 08:16 PM)

Or their aristocratic deer.

@  TriBlurr : (18 February 2019 - 08:10 PM)

Thinking of making a pair of moose Transformer OCs, male and female. Thier a lovey dovy pair of lumberjacks

@  Paladin : (18 February 2019 - 06:56 PM)

they also have NOTORIOUSLY poor protection on their servers. do NOT keep a credit card on file there.

@  Telly : (18 February 2019 - 04:48 PM)

i just checked my past tfsource orders, and theres no sales tax charge

@  Arazyr : (18 February 2019 - 11:16 AM)

They haven't (yet, at least) on the stuff I currently have in my Stack. Haven't had them ship anything for a while, though, so I don't know if they will when I do...

@  Benbot : (18 February 2019 - 11:04 AM)

Does TFSource charge sales tax?

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:47 AM)

That's because, once upon a time, the people whom owned the animals weren't the people whom butchered them. So the pig was owned by a saxon who spoke english, but butchered by a french speaker. So a pig got cut up into PORC chops.

@  unluckiness : (18 February 2019 - 03:25 AM)

Hank Pym<<<< Hank Hill

@  PlutoniumBoss : (18 February 2019 - 01:28 AM)

In that case, I don't see anything wrong with English speakers calling it what it is in English. Even though we technically use the French words for what comes out of it. "Beef", "pork"...

@  Bass X0 : (17 February 2019 - 02:04 PM)

I’d like a Siege Thundercracker who has his regular blue colors Cybertronian jet mode which transforms into a robot mode with his Action Master colors. Looks like it could be possible.

Just got done watching the Carnage Vs. Lucy episode of Death Battle, I saw that the next episode, which will be released September 3 on the Screw Attack site, and onto Youtube on the 5th, will feature Optimus Prime duking it out against RX-78-2 Gundam.

No matter who loses, this will be guaranteed to hit the childhood.

I am not a fan of this matchup. The scale skews things horribly in favor of the Gundam.

But that's always been a major problem with trying to work Transformers into scenarios like this. Most of them aren't big enough to hang with city stomper Mecha like Gundam, Jaegers, or Evengelions. But they're also too big to throw against normal human sized foes.

That said, while the Gundam has size, firepower, flight, and armour made of magic BS space metal, Optimus has 6 million years of combat and tactical experience, which includes taking down foes like Devastator. So maybe it won't be as much of a curb stomp as we think it will be.

I think Optimus stands a better chance against the RX-78 than Starscream had against Rainbow Dash. Just saying.

Optimus should take this if it's only the RX-78.

Then again, Death Battle's never been too consistent making sense.

I wonder if they will factor in Optimus Prime's habit of coming back from the dead.

So, what are they gonna do for his stats? Take all of his feats from the cartoon, Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW, manga, video games, storybooks, etc. and put them in a blender to create a compromised set of stats from all the different versions, or just pick one version and go with that one's feats?

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Which is the unabashed knock off of the other?

I wouldn't say either is a knock off the other since Death Battle uses feats and mathematical-calculated statistics to determine its winners, while Super Power Beat Down just goes with popular fan votes.

There's less size difference between Optimus Prime and a Gundam than there is between a Gundam and a Jaeger, though.

There's no real shortage of more similar-in-size opponents for either, though.

The RX-78-2 can't fly. Not that it would need to.

Part of me kinda hopes that someone on the Death battle staff stumbles across Alternity fiction while doing the research.
Technically, that's your composite Prime right there......who is a God via multidimensional gestalt consciousness.

Eventually MS are created using advanced nanomachines and sentient AI. Possessing the ability to reconfigure themselves on a cellular level, these same MS eventually opt to leave their bulky bodies and take on ones the size of a human. In turn they inherit Earth after their creators pass.

Forging their own history, they eventually achieve power equal to that of a god and in this form the size of solar systems.

Death Battle will generally give the most ridiculous ending imaginable.

So Amuro and his Gundam wil be erased from existence when Alternity Convoy shoots through the timeline and kills Tem Ray 20 years in the past.

I also wouldn't call either a knock off, I'm sure there's more then these two, but Deathbattle started in 2010 and Super Power Beat Down in 2012.

I wonder how this will go, Optimus is either a seasoned leader and skilled fighter, or a god-like perfect warrior who's only equal is Megatron.

Also the Gundam is 18 meters tall and Optimus varies a lot, maybe he'll mass shift to equal size or they'll just pick the closest size.

According to scale chart, Optimus is 36 feet/11 meters tall:

EDIT:
Looking at the teaser for the battle:
https://twitter.com/...583777980862465

They either shrunk Gundam or they made up Primes size along with his design...
