So combiners = Exodia?
Not quite an auto victory like that, but appropriately powerful to balance out the investment.

Four bots on the starter pack and one bot per booster? Weird.
I feel like licensed card games always do this: not give you enough characters and give you way too many generic “action” cards. It makes for boring customization and deck building, and just doesn’t have good game feel...
Sorry, I guess I just am more familiar with licensed games that have the opposite problem; they give you too many characters so you start getting almost silly variations, and (like most TCG's I've experienced in general) the vast majority of cards are filler anyway. So you technically can build a variety of decks, but the cores/engines/whatever you call them of competitive decks will greatly resemble each other. See the Pokémon TCG, still one of the top selling TCG's even though it seems like non-players assumed it died back in 2001. XP
I actually liked a game that did it the way you described, but unfortunately, that game was poorly managed/marketed and died to quickly (Mega Man: NT Warrior).

I suppose they could use "Venin", but Marvel's Venom being a big ol' movie and a big focus of Hasbro's superhero toys right now might have been a factor as well.

"Disabled people donít have special needs. We have very reasonable human needs. Our needs include freedom from abuse, violence, and mistreatment, the right to autonomy and self-direction, the right to represent ourselves, equal opportunity for education and employment, the right to accommodation, and societal inclusion and acceptance.
The need for accommodation isnít a ďspecial needĒ. Itís a basic human right. Itís a leveling of the playing field that allows us the same opportunities and chances as non-disabled people."
