I don't which Optimus Prime to get.
MP-10 (TRU release)
MP-10 (Hasbro 2017 release)
MP-10 (KO V.2)
MPP-10 (Wei Jiang)
I am not a fan of MP-10 Evangelion mode, MP-10 BAPE, MP-10 YOTH.
Or should I wait till MP-10 3.0 comes out. I have a feeling he will be near the 300$ mark.

I have the TRU release of MP-10 and I like him a lot. However, if I did not own him (or any other iteration of him), I would hold out for the upcoming release.
Ultimately though, I think that you should buy the one that appeals to you the most. If you like the looks of the new one, save up for him. If you like MP-10, I am sure that there will be an abundance of them for sale when the new version comes out. Perhaps you could wait and see; maybe focus on some of the MP cars now, which are mostly awesome, IMO.

Of the ones you listed, I like the TakaraTomy one the most, but Hasbro's is nice too (the colors are just not as nice IMO but the eyes are nice).
At this point I would just wait for the 35th MP. If you're impatient than go for whichever official version is the cheapest.
The one with the figure stand was the second or third release of the TakaraTomy version by Hasbro Asia. Years ago, it was definitely not cheap to acquire.

I will wait for the 3.0 version to come out. I just hope his Ion Blaster isn't like the MP10's Ion Blaster where it folds and you can store it in his backpack..(I've seen video reviews of him). I am not a fan of spring fold items. And what it with the huge gap hole over MP10's crutch?

Prime 3.0 still looks to have a folding rifle (probably for storage somewhere on his personage. It wouldn't need to fold if it was just stashed in his trailer), but I don't think it's spring-loaded this time.
As for that "gaping hole" you're talking about, there's no hole at all. There's a dark area because that's where the connection tab for the translucent insert is. The thin translucent panel shines through yellow, but that thicker plug pretty much blocks all light and appears dark.

what do we know about 3.0 at the moment?
What you see is pretty much the extent of what we know.
There's a lot that we can infer about the toy, based on the fact that he's designed to go up against MP-36, but everything coming out of that line of thought is pure speculation.
