If this really is a fight to the death, then, uh, Unicron 1 kind of spoils the outcome.

This is the second time this month there's been issues of the same series two weeks in a row, and both times they've managed not to release the preview of the second issue before the first one was out, so props for managing that.

OK, what? "A villain of his own making"? I've normally enjoyed Pyra's annoyance with Optimus, but what, exactly, is he supposed to have done here?

I'm done with Pyra's attitude. At first, she seemed like a necessary counterpoint to Optimus, but now- ESPECIALLY after Unicron # 1 where she's whinging about Prime while he's goddamn jumping down Unicron's gullet to try and save her planet...

The indigent tone of Jetfire's voice, huh?
Barber's just following in Furman's footsteps in not knowing what that word means!
Jetfire has a mighty need and the only cure is a big purple one eyed monster.

Having only recently and rapidly caught up with the comics for the first time in several years, I'm not sure which excessively repetitious plot point I've overdosed on irritates me more: Pyra Magna's incessantly attacking Optimus whether it makes any sense or not, or Shockwave's being behind everything that is, was, or is meant to be in this universe. The one thing that pleases me about the impending reboot is that both of these plot threads have an opportunity to be killed for good.
I know, no one and nothing ever stays dead in comics, but let me dream for a minute, ok?
