Are forums dying?

I always thought of social media like bars. Everyone comes together and talks about whatever they want to. Sometimes people with common interests gravitate to each other. Different rules, communities and cultures form at each bar. If a person becomes disruptive, the bar owner can kick them out.
Forums are like Star Trek conventions. Everyone is the room has come here for a PARTICULAR reason and they talk about it an anything else they want to. Different rules, communities and cultures form at each convention and if a person becomes disruptive, the convention owner can kick them out. Forums and other media provide the same function, forums are a lot more focused and you don't have to look as hard to find people of like interests.

Discord servers and some subreddits take that role too though.
Shouldn't gravity be doing something?
Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?
