Well, I'm not surprised the next season will be the last, though I will be sad to see it go.

I hope they release that remix of the openning theme onto youtube at some point, it sounds rather nice. As for the trailer, looks like the heroes are going to have their work cut out for them to deal with the invaders from beyond.

BluRay seems to mainly get used in situations where they can sweeten the deal by including all sorts of extras on the BR that "won't fit" on the DVD (often they would, but it's an excuse they stick with). Series sets don't generally have as many extras to put on in the first place, and there's usually some odd-disk-out that has room for them even in DVD. So might as well just release one format, and make it the one everyone can still use. BR may be better than DVD, but since BR players can also play DVDs (unlike VHS, which couldn't play on anything but a VHS player) the DVD format hangs on as the cheap version. Upconverting players that make DVDs look *almost* as good on most TVs help the format live on.
BR series sets of cartoons do exist. I got the complete ATLA on BR a few months back, for example. But most of them these days are sent to streaming services if they didn't originate on a streaming service, and we're lucky to get quickie DVD presses.

It's certainly not unheard of for current animated shows, including Netflix original animated shows in particular, to get Blu-Ray releases. The first one that jumps to mind for me is Castlevania. I have Blu-Rays for the first two seasons sitting on my shelf now.
I do definitely prefer one full series set. It would be nice to see one for this show in a year or so.
