@  Maximus Ambus : (05 April 2020 - 01:11 AM)

Ah well, I'll stick to the classic British sitcoms: One Foot in the Grave, Til Death Do Us Part and They Think It's All Over.

@  TM2-Megatron : (05 April 2020 - 12:53 AM)

There's always the original, cheesy as it is

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (05 April 2020 - 12:10 AM)

Dunno... Tonight one of the major networks showed a movie with plagues.. including that listening to their leader causes the first born to die. ;P So nah.. I think the Stand could work. :D

@  TM2-Megatron : (04 April 2020 - 09:18 PM)

That's probably the last thing anyone needs to see, at the moment. Maybe when we get to the end of June/beginning of July and we can venture back out, it might be possible to find some enjoyment in The Stand.

@  Maximus Ambus : (04 April 2020 - 02:08 PM)

I suppose the CBS adaptation of Stephen Kings The Stand will be delayed.

@  Rycochet : (04 April 2020 - 11:26 AM)

We'll always be together. Together in electric dreams.

@  Rycochet : (04 April 2020 - 11:25 AM)

Please remember that in these times of social distancing, we'll always be together however far it seems.

@  wonko the sane? : (03 April 2020 - 12:41 PM)

It arrived! Yay!

@  wonko the sane? : (03 April 2020 - 11:25 AM)

Given how the virus lasts about 3-4 days on metals and plastics, it's about the only way to go about getting stuff right now. I ordered a monitor mount for my desk and the delivery has been pushed back twice already.

@  Maximus Ambus : (03 April 2020 - 11:04 AM)

He ordered it online, says it was to keep those delivery boys in business. I did the same a week ago with some Transformers Studio Series figures off Kapow. Don't know if it's wise or not considering.

@  wonko the sane? : (03 April 2020 - 09:12 AM)

You'd be the first. Everyone else has either been frustrated cause the one they wanted was sold out (like during boxing week.) or rushing to replace something broken.

@  RYNO : (03 April 2020 - 08:53 AM)

I actually walked into a store the other day and just randomly decided to buy at 32inch TV. It was just a Vizio, and grabbed a Mounting Bracket for it. No duress. Just a spur of the moment wanted a TV for my master bedroom.

@  wonko the sane? : (03 April 2020 - 07:31 AM)

Conversely: I've never met a person who wasn't buying a TV under duress... so... yeah.

@  wonko the sane? : (03 April 2020 - 07:20 AM)

I think I've met maybe two people other than myself who count cables before buying a TV.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (03 April 2020 - 05:33 AM)

Seriously.. HDMI splitters and switches are so bloody finicky, but most tvs don't have enough inputs.

@  Maximus Ambus : (03 April 2020 - 05:09 AM)

Just spent a hour trying to get my brothers new Samsung TV to read his Playstation and Blu Ray player only to find he was using a HDMI splitter.

@  Steevy Maximus : (02 April 2020 - 11:07 AM)

I could never master oral bullshittery. But in my day I was quite adept with the written word.

You have mastered the art of Bulljive. You must use this power only for good, or entertainment.

@  Sabrblade : (01 April 2020 - 08:58 PM)

This morning, for one of my online classes, I had to give a positive oral presentation about a play that I hated having to watch. I went into it completely unprepared and just winged it. My professor LOVED my presentation and thought it was excellent. She believed every word I said and honestly thought that I enjoyed that miserable play. Best April Fools ever!

Shame he wasn't around more. He seemed like such a jolly, happy soul.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (27 March 2020 - 02:16 PM)

No, he was definitely Metroplex. You could tell because he was in Metroplex's distinctive red and green coloration.

@  Paladin : (27 March 2020 - 02:11 PM)

that was Leader-1. or possibly Jolt. maybe Grindor...

@  PlutoniumBoss : (27 March 2020 - 01:57 PM)

Metroplex was in Armada, in a flashback. He was the same size as everybody else. I thought that was the joke.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (27 March 2020 - 12:39 PM)

@Rodimus Supreme: Gah! You are right! How'd I get that mixed up? x.x;

@  TheMightyMol... : (27 March 2020 - 12:14 PM)

There is no Metroplex. Only Zuul.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:13 AM)

@Tm_Silverclaw: There is no Armada Metroplex, he was in Cybertron.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:12 AM)

And they'd be better off just retooling Metroplex and Fortress Maximus to be somewhat more accurate and changing/adding parts for interaction with later play gimmicks.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:11 AM)

I honestly would prefer that for scale purposes.

@  Cyoti : (27 March 2020 - 11:07 AM)

They can redo all the CW combiners as Titan Class figures like Predaking/Devastator.

@  Dekafox : (27 March 2020 - 07:52 AM)

They could just redo Metroplex again too. Especially if it's going to be S3 based. They could also do another Primus to go with the coming Unicron.

@  OverDrive73 : (26 March 2020 - 10:56 PM)

If anyone is bored, or interested... I just added the last chapter to my fanfic comic in Allspark Pictures

Watches the clip:

What the heck did I just watch? I have so many issues with this, the only way I feel this could of been respectful if it was coming at the end of something better animated, like the 2011 Thundercats not as a full on series. The use of the original Lion-o was pretty much spot on until the end when he went totally out of character with all of the daft poses, if this is meant to mock fans of the original, they are not going to be pleased that I am certain of. That last moment with Snarf and the Skeleton, that was uncalled for and never should of been green lighted as it mocks the voice actor of Panthro, like seriously, who the hell thought that would be a good thing to include?

I kind of have to wonder, if this show was basically using the same script, but used the style of Sealab 2021 (using clips from the original show, with only a few new animated bits in the same classic style)...would people like it better?

I'm not going to say it's great, but using the original soundtrack IS hitting all my nostalgia buttons.  And if anyone's on the edge with the show one way or another, watch "Panthro Plagarized".   It's got a pretty good fight at the end...I'll admit, it's a complete character assassination for Panthro, but good fight scene animation.

The only thing I guess I have a slight problem with is the Panthro skeleton. Im 100% sure its not there to mock the VA but just a skeleton there is kinda disrespectful I suppose.

The rest though is spot on.

it's one thing to take pot shots at yourself or your viewers (and yeah, some fans DEFINITELY do take shows like this too seriously) but writing every critic off as a "poopmouth" seems like the wrong approach.

This is technicay a Teen Titans Go episode tho, so Im not gonna hold this against the Roar crew. This type of mocking is more TTG'S MO than Roar's.

I think they're taking a shot, not at people who dislike the show, and simply move on with life...but people who become active haters who desire to devote time to continuously living in opposition to the show even existing until it's over.

Also if a cartoon calls you a poopmouth maybe... It's not a big deal and who gives a shit?

It's not along the lines of racism, sexism, etc.

TTG is built upon regularly insulting normal, upstanding things for the sake of humor. There's a whole episode for which the lesson is "vegetables are evil."

They are not trying to teach kids that vegetables are actually evil. The characters are nitwits and are clearly in the wrong. That's the point.

But even without that extra layer of depth...

If a character on "The Bachelor" called me a poopface, simply for not being into the Bachelor, and for no other nefarious reason...I don't have time to care, nor do I want to create time to care. There is too much to enjoy in life than feeding such a petty squabble.

Fighting back isn't winning. It's losing opportunities to enjoy what I actually like and care about.

I'm not saying that they are right or even justified...but that stuff doesn't need to be a part of our lives to the extent that it affects us.

If you close this thread in your browser window, and never look back, and never watch the show again...you're free.

Not that I don't welcome your presence and thoughts and discussion...but not at the unnecessary expense of anybody's well-being and happiness.

Still think Wally T was their low point.

Using an actual terminally ill child as a shield to attack critics of your show is scummy.

I'd welcome it if TTG was being a good sport, rolling with the punches. Instead it actively antagonizes its critics at every opportunity. And as someone who remembers how passionate and chill the fans of the original show were, I don't like it.

I've only just seen eps 5-7. Hey, why did they change the intro from that really fast one?

I remember the Driller from the original series! (Mostly because he scared me). I also remember Thundrillium as their fuel. Man, all the music and theme cues are great! Dunno if it's just me remembering my childhood or cuz it makes the silly scenes seem so tense and exciting, hehe. (Am slightly freaked out at the moral implications of 'you rewired my brain thing and I'm happy! '. But Panthro did offer to turn it back, though the Driller really can't say no because, well, his Outlook changed artificially.)

Screw me, was that an actual The Last Unicorn reference?!?! Holy cow, that's AMAZING! I know Rankin Bass made both but, wow! If only they called her Amalthea or something close instead of Gwen, hehe. Also, a missed opportunity cuz Monkian and Jackalman DID wish for more fighting and, whoops, there's the Thundercats. The unicorns did grant that, hehe. (Crying Tygra is sad, haha)

Ok, ZakuConvoy is absolutely right. The gravity fight between Panthro and Vultureman was incredibly well done. I'm thinking the Ok KO creator is working on Roar too? It's a jawdropper, considering one doesn't expect that level of action in the show.

Other comments are Snarf is not Rush from Megaman, haha. Show the other characters other than the Berbils! Like Snow Meow! Hope they do a Trial of strength, speed, er, trickery, uh mind and evil like the 2011 version did.

I think Cartoon Network just does a short intro version for a lot of their shows.  I know Amazing World of Gumball had a longer intro that almost never got used.  I can't think of any others off the top of my head, though.

Saw up to ep8.

Exodus - the electric name calling was actually funny. I don't recall the Doom Staff as part of original lore. I do remember Mumm-Ra being afraid of his own reflection but I guess not here. Also Berbils are great, hehe

I don't recall a Boggy Ben either but the OG show had many monster eps... aaaand that's the reason why, haha. Why didn't the ep say that the Thundercats signal is actually a red dot laser pointer for kitties to chase after? It's obvious now. Also, get the croak out of here! Hehe

The Silverhawks are here too?! Boo on no trademark Mumm-Ra transformation scene? I laughed at Tygra's fried statue pose (I like poor long suffering Tygra)

Safezone?! I never played that kind of hide and seek. Who's the Mole Master? Haha. So this is the Willa Roar version? Eh. The Thunderbrig should be using Thundrainium to weaken the Thundercats. Wilykit has got a lot more personality here but, eh if they're going for the whole 'i'm an action adventure girl' ala new Webby. Wilykat being a thief might be from the 2011 series.

So waiting on Hook Mountain, the walrus people, maybe Hachiman. I want Cheetara's Egyptian boyfriend to appear.

I was quite opposed to this show at the beginning, but I decided to be fair and not one of those fanboys who just outright rejects anything new or different from a property he likes, and give it a shot.

And I have to admit, it has garnered a few chuckles out of me. I like how they took Lion-O's naivete and just made it stupidity, but it does get annoying after a while. Long suffering Tygra is funny, especially when he get all confident and pulls out his whip, just to have it backfire on him. And I love the use of the old school music cues!

As for the TTG clip, I do think it was dumb of them to basically start "name calling" anyone who doesn't like this new show, but it is very on brand for TTG. And I don't think the Panthro skeleton was taking a shot at the late, great Earle Hyman, and, IMO, anyone who does take it that way is giving them too much credit, and probably more thought than they put into it. It was just a joke, implying that they've been there so long they ate him. Even though it does amuse me, and I like ThunderCats getting ANY mainstream attention, I don't agree that TCR is a "worthy successor to the original". The 2011 show was, but not this one. I just like that this show is putting any kind of spotlight on ThunderCats, and keeping it fresh in the consciousness of pop culture.

Also, I would love a TCR Snarf plushie!!
