(And the 0th anniversary of the last time I couldn't do math.)

@  ▲ndrusi : (04 July 2020 - 10:46 AM)

Today is the 24th anniversary of the day we fought off an alien invasion with the help of Will Smith.

Oh the end of the Ottoman Empire of course.

Nothing of importance has happened before, and nothing of importance will happen again.

@  Maximus Ambus : (04 July 2020 - 08:12 AM)

Nothing of importance happened today.

@  Rycochet : (01 July 2020 - 12:47 PM)

Jellystone. We're going to be plunged into a decade of poor animation. Fortunately we've been led by bad cartoon characters for years so we won't notice much difference.

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 June 2020 - 05:55 PM)

x-x when in vehicle mode we can travel much F A R T H E R-

@  wonko the sane? : (30 June 2020 - 05:52 PM)

Because despite the fact that we can travel around the world in the time it takes to get a good nights sleep and a couple of meals: people rarely wander more than 25 miles away from home for the duration of their lives.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:49 PM)

I don't know how many days that trip takes - especially while sightseeing - but explaining they're 3936 kilometers (2445 miles) apart gives an idea, paradoxically because it is too large to easily picture.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:44 PM)

Aye.  When I catch lay people discussing miles and not how long the trip takes, it is in an attempt to stress how far away something is... like NYC to LA.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

But I can imagine 45 *minutes* easily.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

I can imagine a mile, it's a distance I've run. I can't really imagine 45 miles.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:19 PM)

I think there's also an element of the thing where things that are much bigger than us all blur together.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:49 AM)

If you're not, then you're more concerned with how long it takes.  Actual distance doesn't tell you that very well.  Besides traffic and road conditions, you'll need to know what kind of driving (city/interstate/rural/etc.).

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:47 AM)

Distance matters if you're being paid by the mile.

@  TM2-Megatron : (30 June 2020 - 11:44 AM)

Canadians are the same way, for the most part. If you're driving somewhere far, especially, it helps you plan out the day more than a distance in KM would.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:42 AM)

We use the time it takes to get someplace because that is what is relevant to us.

@  TheMightyMol... : (30 June 2020 - 10:55 AM)

Because even we can't figure out miles half the time.

@  Paladin : (30 June 2020 - 09:54 AM)

it's a big country with a lot of empty space. between our citizens' ears.

@  Bass X0 : (30 June 2020 - 09:52 AM)

Why do most Americans measure distance by hours of driving?

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 07:26 PM)

And as a result the world's lone blu-ray release of the film, an Australian disc that came out 7 years ago, now goes for hundreds of dollars on eBay. Thanks Disney.

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 06:21 PM)

Well, they censored Daryl Hannah's butt in Splash :rolleyes

@  Paladin : (29 June 2020 - 05:43 PM)

maybe New Mutants is too bad even for D+.

@  Steevy Maximus : (29 June 2020 - 05:00 PM)

X-Men films are coming to Disney+ next month. But will they censor Hugh Jackman's butt?

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 June 2020 - 12:44 PM)

Pft.

@  TheMightyMol... : (29 June 2020 - 11:59 AM)

Behold! Night Strike Galvatron!

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 09:53 AM)

I will grant you a recolored body, and recolored troops to command.

@  Cybersnark : (29 June 2020 - 09:47 AM)

I don't want to be reissued. This body sucks, I wanna be updated.

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 09:43 AM)

I definitely don't intend to be reissued. Nobody would buy me.

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 08:31 AM)

will anybody else attempt to be reissued?

@  wonko the sane? : (29 June 2020 - 07:51 AM)

*Gasp* Decepticons re-writing history to serve their own needs?!?!

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 05:48 AM)

The whole point of the DJD is that they're fanatical Megatron fanboys (especially Tarn) to the point of having their own headcanon taking priority of the actual canon, simply speaking.

@  TheMightyMol... : (29 June 2020 - 04:01 AM)

They didn't know the war was over until later. And then they denied it anyway.

On the other hand, Google Play actually lists the next episodes as 27-36 and not 31-40 (and doesn't have anything after them so far).

It's possible Google Play is right. Discovery Family unfortunately hasn't made their June Highlights document available yet, but that should provide more info.

There is also a chance that Discovery Family will have a break after finishing the first half of season 2.

Well, I found the rest of the episodes on the Radio Times site, including the missing four. Episodes 27-30:

  • The Empty City: When the recruits respond to an intergalactic distress signal they discover Scorch and his friends under attack from an abandoned city. But Scorch didn't send the signal. So who is in distress?
  • First Responder: Wedge is faced with a tough decision after mentor training day, while Wes is about to take his Griffin Rock First Responder exam.
  • How To Train Your Scraplets: Medix's patience is put to the test when the recruits are given the task of training five metal-munching Scraplets.
  • Helicopter Heroes: Whirl feels Medix is getting preferential treatment in helicopter mode but her insecurity risks both their safety during a rescue.

And episodes 41 through to the end of the season:

  • The Tracker: Upon discovering that Griffin rock journalist, Huxley Prescott, has gone missing deep in the jungle, Whirl enlists the help of an expert tracker to help her find him.
  • One Of Our Dragons Is Missing: When Hoist and Hot Shot fail to deal with a small problem in Hero Hall, things quickly escalate and soon they are dealing with the much larger problem of a dragon attacking Milford.
  • Dino-mite Duo: When the Rescue Bots and recruits are all away from the Academy, Sludge and Snarl are put in charge.
  • The Lonely Titan: When Wedge tires of his friends constantly interrupting him, he volunteers for a solo mission on a Titan. But seeing how much the Titan values his companionship, Wedge gains a new appreciation for the value of true friendship.
  • X Marks The Bot: The Bots travel to Ireland to follow a Cybertronian treasure trail, or so they think.
  • Making Tracks: When Wedge needs a speed coach, Bumblebee thinks Hot Shot will be the perfect choice. But Hot Shot soon learns that teaching can be as tricky as learning.
  • Don't Be Alarmed: A mission gives the recruits a chance to test out their new homemade sirens, but some alien creatures don't react well to loud noise.
  • Powerless: The Recruits get skilled with their power-up tools but are challenged with a rescue where they can't use them.
  • Griffin Rock Rocks!: Medix's favorite DJ is playing a concert at Griffin Rock. However as there will be so many out-of-towners attending the bots have to remain out of sight. But when the DJ's show needs rescuing, Medix and the recruits must take centre stage.
  • Bot Battle: After dismissing Tough Luck Chuck, Hot Shot decides to enter 'Bot Battle' an all-smashing, all-crashing, Robo-rampage! However, he soon discovers that Chuck may well be his toughest competition.
  • Space Party: It's the final test to graduate Year Two and the recruits are nervous. Though Hot Shot's got something else on his mind - making sure his teachers know just how much he appreciates them. And thanks to a perilous turn of events - he might just get the chance to prove it.
  • Crash Of The Titan

(Crash of the Titan just has a generic blurb, but I have a hunch it'll involve a Titan crashing.)

Hoping for a cameo from McFeely in "X Marks the Spot".

Not complaining.

I'm curious after getting three new Titans in Cyberverse if we might be getting one in RB too.

-ZacWilliam, I mean "RB Metroplex" is equally likely, but a new titan would be cooler imo.
Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?
Or the proverbial ailerons of Titanium Moosebots?

Metroplex has popped up as a head shot on one of the Heroes of Cybertron cards Wedge owns. Not sure if that makes it more or less likely to be him though!

I'm kinda half expecting it to be a new version of Croaton since his appearance in Cyberverse felt odd with no fanfare at all from Hasbro. But a RBA version of him as well would make his existence feel more substantial, like something that Hasbro would want us to get invested in.

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Well, there was a small picture of Shockwave's head in "Bot Blog", but the Decepticon in "More Than Meets the Eye" was

Spoiler

so it doesn't seem like they absolutely have to bring the same characters they've already shown parts of.

By the way, I've seen episodes from "Bot Blog" to "Rescue Teens", but unfortunately can't share any videos of them, at least not yet.

If anybody wants them, yesterday's episodes "Medix Gets Schooled" and "Rescue Teens" in an uncut/unconverted form. I'm going to upload all other episodes after they air/re-air as well.

And for those who might read this post a year or more in the future, I'm not going to keep them here forever (but it's probably going to be a significant amount of time, as I'm not that low on space either).

Discovery Family has put up both their June and July highlights document.

  • June 6 - Mul-T-Change of Pace/Five Little Rescue Bots
  • June 20 - Good Advice/Campfire Fright
  • June 27 - Small Cogs/Big Wheels

They're skipping June 13 in favour of a MLP marathon. No sign of RBA in July, so I guess it's taking a break for a while.

Thanks to the Tiny Pop listings for the UK airing of the show, I was able to add production order numbers to every episode in this list.

Unless there's another sequel/spinoff in the works.

Cyberverse ends this year too, so who knows what 2021 will hold for Transformers cartoons on television.

Sad, but a good run. Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy have definitely been some of my favorite parts of Transformers, and I hope someday they will be deemed worthy of full-season DVD sets.

So...

Rescue Bots reboot, anyone?

Weird that none of their new altmodes have toys out, given how many alternate modes everyone's gotten in the toy line so far.
