I think the Worlds Collide was my favourte story from Dreamwave, if anything, their run on Armada was pretty good, its a pity the company went bust due to mismanagement, I rather liked their art style, it felt fresh and modern yet at times staying true to the original desgins of the charaters. Of course, I did also like their reference books/guide books to all of TFG1 charaters that were apart of what Hasbro deemed their charaters, as many of the Japanese only ones didn't make it, if I recall correctly, its been along time since I looked at those comics but I still have them stored away. One thing for sure with the Dreamwave comics, they beat the hell out of the UK comics of the time, those are trash, stories that are simply insuiting the reader.
I thought it was pretty good, but I was disappointed that Megatron didn't somehow become Galvatron after slaying the other-world Galvatron.
Well when you look back on that era, I'm glad that didn't happen, thou one of the covers showed Armada Galvatron despite the fact he never appeared, it was Megatron, yet the cartoon/anime adopted the trend started in RID of repainting Megatron into Galvatron and yet he never really got any more powerful, at least in Armada & Energon shows, Cybertron, I loved what they did, took a serious beating and basically called to the planet key to get more power and he did and then went on to knock the Autobots about single handly, at least until OP got more power from the Matrix and Metroplex's weapon, still, I loved that part of the show. Of course Worlds Collide was the first and only crossover event between eras of TF, BW doesn't really count as its a sequel to G1 thou set before G1 thanks to time travel. Sure some of charaters from other shows have appeared in IDW but its not really a reailty threat sitution, where bots from another universe all together appear to cause problems and be the main threat to the established world.
