All of North America is black glass
Central America is gone, open water between north and South america
Anything north of New York is permafrost
Antarctica has thawed
The middle east is a radioactive maze of craters and toxic rivers
Eastern china was badly nuked and the remaining population fled to the himalayas
Europe is wracked with earthquakes, fresh volcanic activity, new mountains and oceans
Africa gets away fairly untouched, but a few thousand years later rolling cities show up and start eating things
So yeah things are kinda different

So I guess 'the apocalypse' must have dried the oceans or something... because how could London be eating anything other than smaller British/scottish cities?
It was a dark, blustery afternoon in spring, and the city of London was chasing a small mining town across the dried-out bed of the old North Sea.
