Taktom seems to bring over Hasbro's Star Wars toys completely unchanged, judging by listings I've seen on websites based in Japan
. Though I guess the Star Wars deco ethos is just making things look like what you see on-screen so divergences aren't something you'd expect.
Back when Bandai of America used the same Super Sentai molds as Bandai of Japan for Power Rangers, there were some deco differences between the two versions of each's product. A notable example being the Shogun Megazord having a Pink limb instead of a white one like its Kakuranger counterpart had, even though the zord was still treated as the White Shogunzord in the American show (co-piloted between the Pink and White Rangers).
Years later, there was also the Blizzard Force Megazord released in Dino Thunder that had a rather different deco from its Abaranger counterpart.
When did Bandai America start using outright different molds for the robots? Mystic Force? Did this happen often enough that people were used to having distinct deco choices?
