@  Maximus Ambus : (09 July 2020 - 03:14 AM)

Looking at my Titan Returns collection I can see they realised they didn't have to paint the Titan Masters after wave one, lazy bums.

@  Maruten : (08 July 2020 - 09:13 PM)

No, I'm going with "fish".

@  TheMightyMol... : (08 July 2020 - 04:19 PM)

He stated that it's in reference to the Mega Man character, so it follows the series' tradition of music names.

@  Cybersnark : (08 July 2020 - 03:59 PM)

The real question is if it's "bass" as in music or "bass" as in the fish.

@  Otaku : (08 July 2020 - 01:27 PM)

Well, at least now I know how to pronounce @Bass X0 's screen name. ^^'  Rather, I think I'd just forgotten.  In my defense, it really does look like an emoticon or maybe just "decoration", which is what a lot of folks add to their screen names online.  Usually because someone has the name they really want. XD

@  ▲ndrusi : (08 July 2020 - 01:27 PM)

Extremely unimpressed with your idea that someone making a negative observation you don't like means they "got triggered."

@  NotVeryKnightly : (08 July 2020 - 11:16 AM)

You know somebody asked "And this would be in relation to... what exactly?"

@  Bass X0 : (08 July 2020 - 11:15 AM)

Its because someone got triggered over my random musings instead of just ignoring them. If I read one of your comments that is of no relevance or interest to me, I don't feel the need to say so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (08 July 2020 - 10:56 AM)

All this over someone's username lol

@  ▲ndrusi : (08 July 2020 - 08:34 AM)

Bazro.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (08 July 2020 - 06:34 AM)

It could be Bass 10-0

@  Nevermore : (08 July 2020 - 06:11 AM)

How do you pronounce yourself? "Bass Ex-O" or "Bass Ex-Zero"?

@  Bass X0 : (08 July 2020 - 03:23 AM)

I did almost go with Vile Bass X0, because Vile is cool too.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (07 July 2020 - 08:34 PM)

Bossk Saw

@  ▲ndrusi : (07 July 2020 - 04:16 PM)

Bass XD

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 03:43 PM)

And its not Bass XO, its Bass X0, as in Bass, X and Zero from the Mega Man series.

@  -LittleAutob... : (07 July 2020 - 02:33 PM)

@Trpodeca :( :(

@  -LittleAutob... : (07 July 2020 - 02:32 PM)

Thats what a gray rock is? Then I'm not one.

@  Trpodeca : (07 July 2020 - 02:12 PM)

Man I just learnt about what seemed like a really cool show, only to realize it was a dream and it dosen't really exist.

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 01:02 PM)

Just something I read that I wanted to share. I heard "gray rock" mentioned in a video, so I looked it up and that was the definition.

@  TheMightyMol... : (07 July 2020 - 12:20 PM)

It's a fancy way of saying "Ignore annoying people".

@  NotVeryKnightly : (07 July 2020 - 12:15 PM)

Bass XO has a habit of pasting random drivel here as if doing so were profound.

@  wonko the sane? : (07 July 2020 - 11:30 AM)

And this would be in relation to... what exactly?

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 11:25 AM)

"One strategy for dealing with a narcissist or sociopath is to act like a "gray rock," meaning that you become uninteresting and unresponsive. You don't feed their needs for drama or attention. You don't show emotion, say anything interesting, or disclose any personal information"

@  Nevermore : (06 July 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Oh wow. Studio Series Offroad Bumblebee is awesome. His articulation is amazing.

@  -LittleAutob... : (06 July 2020 - 11:18 AM)

Oof-

@  Maximus Ambus : (05 July 2020 - 01:10 AM)

I got Studio Series 39 Cogman yesterday and woke up to find he'd decapitated my titans returns figures.

@  Maximus Ambus : (04 July 2020 - 01:47 PM)

Convert him to Maple Syrup.

@  Bass X0 : (02 July 2020 - 03:10 PM)

what would Canada do with Yogi?

@  Cyoti : (01 July 2020 - 12:51 PM)

We can deport Yogi back to Canada now.

@  Sabrblade : (01 July 2020 - 12:50 PM)

Jellystone National Pawk. A westful wetweat.

@  Rycochet : (01 July 2020 - 12:47 PM)

Jellystone. We're going to be plunged into a decade of poor animation. Fortunately we've been led by bad cartoon characters for years so we won't notice much difference.

I love my Blackout.  :love I can't wait to get the new Brawl to join him and Starscream. I'll have to see if I can dig out their Leader versions in the meantime. I REALLY hope a Voyager Bonecrusher will follow in the future. (And Movie 1 Megatron. And Barricade/Frenzy. And...)

Quick question for those who have him: How does one transform Studio Series Bumblebee? Wait, no, that's not right. Right figure, wrong question.

I remember reading about Bumblebee's roof when he first became available. Specifically, this post about how the roof pieces aren't held together by a pin, like TLK Bumblebee's was:

Video reviewer baltmatrix received his Studio series Bumblebee, and it's hips and ankles were so loose and floppy, that he totally lost his shit.

Also, looks like his copy was missing some pins in the roof as well.

Apparently they removed the pin in the roof because it was causing stress breaks. Or at least I heard that on another site.

Somehow, I came away from this thinking that the pins were causing breaks in SS Bumblebees, so they made a last-minute decision to just not install the pins. So when my Bumblebee came and his roof was just a random stray piece that wouldn't stay connected to the rest of him, I didn't give it a second thought.

Fast forward to this week, and I finally noticed that there actually are a couple little nubs there that are supposed to hold the roof. But at least on mine, the two stubs that the roof connect to are very visibly flared outward, creating a gap between them and the roof tabs. Thus, those nubs never actually engage, and the roof is just a totally separate piece.

I know I read about Bumblebee in particular having some QC issues. Is this a common problem, or did I just get a particularly flawed figure?

It was true of mine until I heated it up and fixed it. It still doesn't have much hold, but it doesn't fall off literally every single time you move it.

Just ordered Grimlock, Starscream, and Stinger from Amazon.  The only one that I still need to get from wave 1 that is a must have is Blackout.

I had intention of being any of these but Grimlock was breathtaking in person.

The deco isn't flashy but the figure is gorgeous.

Had to buy him.

Now I'm baffled where that image showed up first. TFWiki mentioned the nickels as of two weeks ago, and I thought this was the first we'd seen of this stock image.

I think in part it's a combination of Brawl being quite a goofy design that had quite a good toy right out of the gate that also made him significantly more badass, but even setting all that aside, the way the treads work in the torso is just all kinds of wrong.

Shouldn't gravity be doing something?

Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

I think you have the problem backwards: I'm sure he can stand up straight, but the photographer wanted him looking more dynamic than that, and possibly he can't stand up unstraight.

He really does look like the redheaded stepchild of the line so far, but I haven't been doing this for thirty-four years to judge toys by Hasbro promotional photography now.

Also worth noting that the unusual feature of this stock photo is not that it was creatively staged, but that whoever happened to do the editing didn't recognize the dimes as something other than a part of his foot. There are very likely many invisible dimes in TF stock photos, the oddity here is the visible ones.

I don't know if this has come up already, or whether mine is just special, but to enuppen the heads of Blackout owners, the tab holding the left shoulder in place on mine was suuuuuuper tight and I was very confident that I was going to break something in trying to var him up.

I've seen a few reports of this elsewhere. Some super tight tabs on the guy.

I think finding something besides Leader class at Target would be news. Meijer seems to get everything but and Target gets Leader.

I'm sure Walmart will have oodles of all of Wave 1 before long.

... The thought just occurred to me that legion class didn't do great in my region. I wonder if it's going to be present for the Bee movie.

Hmm, good question. It hadn't occurred to me that Bee Movie might have a Legion lineup, since we've been told it's "normal" figures in Studio Series and all the usual movie merch stuff. I sort of naturally lump Legion figures in with the "normal" toys despite their separate "ecosystem" but they might well be a part of the merch side of that delineation.

Meijer got Leaders along with everything else, actually. That's where mine are from; it's the only place I've seen Studio anything.

Found Grimlock at Target. Don't know if that's news, to have found it there?

Some TFW2005 users reported finding Studio Series on Target shelves last week.

At least one user claims to have been denied the opportunity to buy them when they rang up as having an April shelf date. First I have ever heard of such a occurrence.

And someone on TFW reported Hasbro's Customer Service telling them that the PotP Starscream mold is flawed and will only be fixed for Takara's release, so they'll have to import it.

There's something in the water over there.

It wasn't in the system. If I hadn't just ordered it from Amazon I would have tried to buy it.
