Before the permanent late shift was introduced three years ago (which I volunteered for as soon as the form became available), I always tended to plan my vacation for early shift weeks. Since the majority of the people in most departments prefer to work early shift and thus tended to plan their vacation for late shift weeks, there were usually enough slots available for me to get my request fulfilled.

I'm dying to see Stinger clearly. Between the blurry show-floor photo and this tiny scan, he looks really strange. I hope that's good-strange, but I dunno about a whole-roof claw-gun.

The picture of Stinger next to the sign saying not to take pictures very clearly showed his Huayra mode, so it's not likely to be that.

The most interesting possibility is "we don't know about the Bee Movie Vette yet"; the least interesting is probably "this was copied directly from TLK packaging and Crosshairs was in that".

That sounds terrible, but given that a good 60% of the figure is brand new, there's a very good chance those issues have been fixed.

 

After five movies, I've got franchise fatigue, but finally doing justice to Bumblebee's '76 Camaro mode is enough to get my attention.


Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

I've seen reactions that mostly lean on "Hasbro can make new molds for anything anytime they're just being cheap and lazy retooling the TLK Bee mold", while I'm all "a great base body for that vehicle mode, finally, gimme now".

Despite my complaints about the parts popping off I do really like the figure and I'm looking forward to this new one. I wonder if the Bumblebee movie toy will also be based on this mold or be an entirely new mold.

I'm not entirely convinced that it's a reshell, myself. None of the pieces really match 100% (even the toes are slightly differently shaped), but these ARE blurry pics and all, so I could be super wrong.

 

The only important thing is that I Want. So much. Love the car, love the robot design, really eager to retire the loved-but-so-doofy '07 toy.

(or more likely I'll just display them side-by-side)

Another great thing is once I saw where someone had cut off Rotf Rampage's face and glued it to the '76 Camaro Bee's body, a custom that I immediately knew I had to copy. I recently found a guy selling junkers of both for dirt cheap (and I suspect edited in a description about how worn out bee was after I paid for it) but just couldn't bring myself to potentially destroy a '76 Bee since I never owned one before.

Now I may do so guilt free because I'm totes buying the new one.

Just some random Camaro bot.  The guy head cannoned it into a reformed Decepticon that chilled in Cuba with Simmons. 

 

I just loved the way the Rampage's face looked on the body.  I'll remove the Autobot symbol and increase my already shelf dominating movie Decepticon forces.

This is the first time in my collecting history that I plan to buy a figure just because of the basically arbitrary fancy car mode they picked to use in the movie. That Pagani is sweet.
