I like the idea of a show that's largely on Cybertron. I think I had convinced myself it could be something way weirder, but if done right Cybertron should be plenty weird.

"Hi, I'm Windblade! I'm here to restore your meeeeemory!"
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SEASON-LONG STORY ARCS
Kids of today don't like story arcs.
The average comedy cartoon nowadays has better continuity than what the 80s had to offer. In the action genre.
I wouldn't take the "18 episodes" number as something unusual either, as someone that's kept an eye on Hasbro's sales sheets they often do have some damned weird arbitrary numbers, even on seasons of shows that actualy had the usual 13 or 26 episode order. Those numbers seem to refer more to how many episodes they plan to have ready to deliver to media channels that bought airing rights by that time frame than how many they're actualy making.
But also Hasbro is the same company that made a 6 episode season of a cartoon and gave it around the same budget as a 13 episode season so god knows they're not beyond REALLY doing some crazy numbers for no particular reason, not even to save money.
Who mentioned 80's shows?! I was just spoofing the "Kids today" BS claims.

Hasbro has said they plan to get their stuff on Netflix and Itunes and etc. faster than in the past this upcoming year. They're aware that Cable TV can be shaky.
Now Channel-wise, we have no confirmation, but this happened a few months ago
Paramount is owned by Viacom, whose major kid-channel is Nickelodeon, so it's possible, if not probable, that Cyberverse might air there.

The show is most likely to resemble the newer show that was made by the same studio and that it shares writing staff with than the one made 10 years ago by different people from a different studio aimed at a different market of kids. So nah. Pack your things if you're here for TFA's revival.

This was noted by Boomhauer in the RBA thread in relation to voice cast stuff, but I'm noting it here too for the character reveal:
Lianne Marie Dobbs posted on her instagram about doing a recording session for "Slipstream, the female Decepticon in charge of the Seekers."

Worth nothing that show staff has mentioned they're working on Season 2 pre-production right now, so have a lil patience if you're excited for her being in something else! She might be a season 2 character that just got cast.

What's this talk about getting things on Netflix sooner? My son has been asking me about Combiner Force once a week for like 6 months now.

Considering there's a pile of Starscream in Wave 1 and only evidence for Slipstream in Season 2, I think that's an optimistic reading.
Shouldn't gravity be doing something?
Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

Maybe Slipstream can be an actual character now.
"Disabled people donít have special needs. We have very reasonable human needs. Our needs include freedom from abuse, violence, and mistreatment, the right to autonomy and self-direction, the right to represent ourselves, equal opportunity for education and employment, the right to accommodation, and societal inclusion and acceptance.
The need for accommodation isnít a ďspecial needĒ. Itís a basic human right. Itís a leveling of the playing field that allows us the same opportunities and chances as non-disabled people."

Is it bad of me to realize that this may be the first time since Robots in Disguise where the Japanese voice actors will get paid more than the American?
Of course, that's if TakaraTomy even bothers bringing it over.

Oh it's like Steven Universe all over again.
So, we're going to get 30 episodes of Bumblebee wandering around Cybertron talking to random bots and 5 episodes of actual interesting plot.
Bumblebee will only reach to Optimus's hip in one scene, then in the next he'll be as tall as his boot and using an earlier character design.
