I ran into this via the retweets of Japanese users on Twitter. A men's comic magazine called "Young GanGan" has published a one-shot story about... a girl who's been buying too many Transformers off Amazom.com...?
Per automatic translations, the tweets go out of their way to promote TakaraTomy's supervision, and there's a © TOMY copyright stamp on the frontispiece. That's pretty official!
The kanji of the writer/artist's name suggests they're Yamazaki Doudou, whose work previously appeared in Young GanGan. I have no idea what the actual content of the story is, but the magazine did offer an apology on its website for an art error - a shipping box accidentally overlapped Drift's shoulder instead of him appearing in front of it.
Soooo... yeah. Given The Last Knight just hit theaters in Japan, I guess that makes this a promotional tie-in piece for it..? Doesn't appear to be another KissPlay, at least... but it IS pretty weird that she was seemingly able to buy a boxed North American Tigerhawk off Amazom. Surely that'd be more the domain of Yafoo Japan Auctions.
