Recently, I found out that this show has been brought to Blu-ray. I have been wanting it for a while now to complete my Timmverse collection, but I just never picked it up for one reason or another. However, the series has gone on a massive sale recently, and I picked it up for $16. It is back ordered on Amazon, but it should be here in a couple weeks. When it arrives, I plan on watching it, and giving each episode a little review here.

You're in for a treat. It doesn't suffer from what I call "Kamen Rider Syndrome" where every episode is stretched out for two for some god damned reason and it's pretty well tightly written and animated. The story arcs that dominate the show are there and you'll be able to pick up on the comic book inspirations. Just, don't go into this expecting a lot of Batman stuff.

Oh, I have seen it before, but it has been many years. I still hold up the World of Cardboard scene as one of the best moments in any super hero TV show or Movie.

I actually feel it was better for that, as it made the writer look to other, less obvious places for plots.

I often wonder what the show might've been like if that restriction had never existed. Honestly I do wish that were the case; I really don't think anything of value would've been lost if "The Batman" was never made.

You know I haven't seen any of The Batman other than the movie Batman vs Dracula. I mainly got it because it had exclusive figurines in the set, and I am addicted to getting those little figures that DC is packing in with their movies.

Do iiit!
There's a few eeeh eps (say, Hawk and Dove, the visit to Apokalips) but the single eps are beyond better than the first season of Justice League. JLU s1 is mostly stand alone stuff but things get EPIC in season 2! Get hyped!
You would need to watch choice eps in Justice League s2. A Better World is essential.
Oh and watch the best direct to DVD DC movie, Crisis on Two Earths, which Dwayne McDuffy meant as a bridging movie between JL s2 and JLU s1. Explains how the tower was built, which guys were recruited first, and the invisible jet.
TOY DRAMA THEATER!
1 minute of (minimal) lights, (steady) camera and... ACTION FIGURES! (mostly Transformers) - Episode 031: Combiners and chest envy

I actually have Crisis on Two Earths, but it has been a while since i watched it. Dwayne McDuffy was a great writer though, so I guess I need to watch it again.
I thought that justice league star crossed was the movie that bridged JL and JLU.

Favorite JLU moment:
"Are you gonna wash your hands?"
"No, because I'm EVIL!"
Why I love the bodyswap episode cliche.

And then Epilogue comes along with Amanda Waller and she goes
"You know who's great? Batman."
Season 3 is also a lot weaker than the first two.

"Disabled people don’t have special needs. We have very reasonable human needs. Our needs include freedom from abuse, violence, and mistreatment, the right to autonomy and self-direction, the right to represent ourselves, equal opportunity for education and employment, the right to accommodation, and societal inclusion and acceptance.
The need for accommodation isn’t a “special need”. It’s a basic human right. It’s a leveling of the playing field that allows us the same opportunities and chances as non-disabled people."

Ah Justice League, I thought that was a great show, when it came along I never heard of the league or some of its charaters, Batman was kind of my window into the show as I saw Batman The Animated Series, it was after I saw Justice League and the power of the internet that I saw The Animated Series follow up, the New Batman Adventures and when I saw that series, I thought it sucked compared to the preivous one and it was meant to be a sequel, clearly someone screwed up in the writing department because I cannot recall a single good story in that series and things were a confusing mess, with Nightwing being around, it was like, Who the F*** is this guy? Also the animation was nowhere near as great as the previous series. While I know better now, I always liked Batman as a charater but I have my standards, I didn't like the look of Brave & the Bold, so I chose not to watch that because it looked like something from a by gone era of animation and Batman was wearing blue instead of black.
Anyway, with Justice League, I was vaguely aware of Superman as a charater but the charaters like Green Lantern, Marshan Man Hunter, Hawk girl, I didn't know existed, the Flash I was very vaugely aware of thanks to the live action TV show, but I knew nothing about him but then I didn't really understand the Flash back then as I was still a kid at least in mind and I was completely unawares of the existances of these big name charaters, as for Wonder woman, I recall seeing a little of that early TV show but again I didn't understand what I was seeing, same goes for Supergirl movie, I never understood what I was seeing aside from a girl dressed up a bit like Superman. Anyway, when Justice League appeared on TV, it kind of hooked me but I did miss a few eps during its airring so when Unlimited appeared, I became pretty confused as to many of these charaters that were on screen thou Green Arrow certianly caught my attention as he flirted with Black Carnay but again thanks to the internet I've been able to see all of the eps again and see those I missed. I do say Justice League is a great show, it started off in general in a pretty good manner, with a alien invasion for its first story but the second story being about the Green Lantern surpposely commited a crime of genoside, drew me in more thou other stories were not as rememberable as those two, at least to me. Still after all these years, I still think Batman is Superior to Superman as a idea for a hero, sure Superman has all of the powers but Batman uses gaggets and brains to deal with his foes and despite his lack of powers, I think he is the most dangerous member of the league, for he is unpretictable compared to the others thou one story that connects to the Beyond series, shows desptie everything, he is one of the most compasionate people around.
Kids TV today looks like its filled with rubbish, they need real culture back in the form of some of the classics such as Batman the Animated series and Justice League
