And it wasn't good either, imo.

I've never really liked Pyg, tbh so his re-themeing didn't bother me too much since it at least made SOME sense in the idea of Batman fights a shit load of storybook villains, and Comic Pyg might be a bit too much for a SatAM cartoon. The eco-Terrorist bit as a replacement for Ivy however annoyed me more, as I stated I hate that rather then use the new characters as new characters at the very least they just wanted to do the same old thing and had to make due.
I agree, there was a WHOLE lot of potential, Anarky is a character that when done right has a shit load of potential; its why he's such a popular and memorable character that fans want to see more of... and they almost never do him right. I think Arkham Origins is really the closest we've gotten to him being used in any capacity nearing how he was in the comics.
If you really really want to buck with tradtion? Anarky as Batman's counterpoint, a vigilante that is a bit more extreme in his focus and drive to make things better, straddling the line of hero and villian beyond the simple ideals of Anti-Hero or even Anti-Villain, and then when Batman learns that this guy that's can not only match in wits him but occasionally best him, is a KID, have him make him his partner (Not sidekick) to try and teach him to be more heroic, mimicking how Anarky slowly became more and more of an ally to the Bat-family as the years went by. It'd be something almost like marging Jason Todd and Tim Drake's Robin'origins together allowing something familar but still new.

Pyg would have absolutely needed an overhaul to fit a SatAM style, you'll garner no argument in objection to that truth. He's too gruesome in his comic iterations to work without scaling him back. I still feel like they could have done something with his obsession for perfecting others, though.
Anarky? That's a bit harder for me, since we have seen at least 2 characters use that name. I can accept this wasn't Lonnie Machin, since we saw Ulysses steal the name for a while. But absolutely I'd have killed for a real Anarky story instead of the Joker ripoff we got instead.
I still don't get why they used Tobias Whale. Even if you can't use Penguin, there's a perfectly good underworld, oceanic themed boss with Great White. There's not even the excuse of being unaware of him, since they used Dumpty.

I don't believe so? As far as I know he's only featured in the comics and a few easter egg teases referencing him in the Arkham games.
Thinking about it they used Junkyard Dog and Doodlebug in Beware the Batman too, or iterations of them, I guess. So it makes even less sense to go with Whale over Warren.

Okay, finally watched it. Not too bad, but very self-indulgent in places. The pointless chase scene did serve SOME purpose, to establish that Harley couldn't be trusted despite her protestations. But otherwise...yeah, a lot of scenes were just "do it because the TV censors can't stop me" stuff, or what felt like in-jokes put on screen because they didn't have to stay inside a time limit.
The post-credits scene was pretty good, at least.
