*hands llittleautobot1218 a light switch* There you go.

I feel a need to lighten up the mood.... ;)

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 May 2020 - 10:38 AM)

:p

@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Already seen it online.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:42 PM)

Who's excited for tomorrow? The only thing that makes Monday worth it is the Cyberverse episodes .-.

@  wonko the sane? : (24 May 2020 - 12:30 PM)

Welcome. I just came into that trick myself recently, so happy to share.

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 12:05 PM)

Thanks, wonko the sane? for the tip with the cloning. That helped a lot!

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 12:02 PM)

Heheh.... yes... I don't think a sniper would be very good at making a vaccine... 0.0

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 11:48 AM)

All right! Cloning my old HHD to an SSD and then swapping out the drive was successful, it would appear. Finally.

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2020 - 11:30 AM)

Scientist Perceptor is. Sniper Perceptor less so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:51 AM)

Perceptor would be more responsible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:48 AM)

Oof x~x

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 May 2020 - 10:45 AM)

He'd cure the virus, but he'd probably commit at least two crimes against nature and weaponize a third in the process.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:39 AM)

'Horrible consequences' would most likely happen with Brainstorm...

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 08:16 AM)

Totally. And Percy's not even human. XD

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 May 2020 - 06:50 AM)

Can't do much worse than our current government, I say go for it.

@  Sabrblade : (23 May 2020 - 10:13 PM)

Little do we realize that the Perceptor in question is the Mini-Con combiner. :p

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

He would!!!

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

Horrible consequences? I... Doubt that would happen.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 May 2020 - 09:55 PM)

Even if he would come up with the answer by tomorrow.

One lucky Allspark user can win Nathan Webb's original artwork for the first page of the "Quantum Beast Leap" comic! To qualify, you just have to tell me your answer to this question:

Who is your favourite Beast Wars character who didn't appear in the cartoon, and why?

The thread will be locked at midnight EST on Friday, April 21, and a winner will be selected from the valid entries with a random number generator.

EDIT: Space Ape Games haven't placed any stipulations on location (they're UK based in the first place), so everybody feel free to enter!

Torca, because his chest is a tongue. And his beast mode is pretty neat.

(Is this open to overseas people?)

Nightglider. Really good robot mode, sword stored IN his tail -not is his actual tail, and I wanted to give him a Predacon spark crystal (before Darkscream was a thing), paint him silver with black-and-gold trim, and name it Slapnuts.

I have to go with Insecticon. He looks absolutely great in both modes, incorporating the large stag beetle mandibles into the robot's torso results in a great silhouette. The flip-transformation is great for kids actually playing with their toys, simple quick and yet satisfying. The insect kibble only enhances the robot mode's look, instead of taking away from it. On top o fthat the toy is really well articulated, like Beast Wars toys tended to be.
Weapon storage under the elytra (that open like a beetle's would) is the cherry on top. Insecticon encapsulates everything awesome about the early BW toys and does so with impecable style.

I love the little dude.

Hmm.. lots of great choices. I will go with Snapper. I really love his armored turtle design. He's one of the best early spring loaded basics. Love the coloration on his shell. And as an added plus you can pretend he turns into Gamera.

-ZacWilliam, in summation: He is really neat. He is made of turtle meat.

I didn't really get into Beast Wars until late in its run, right before the switch over to Beast Machines, so I'm not all that familiar with the non-show characters.  However, i always though B'Boom looked really cool, with the missile launchers on his sides and his flat-top hair cut.

Lots of possible choices, but I'll go with Polar Claw. He's a bear. That's pretty much the only reason needed.

Transmetal 2 Iguanus has an unfair advantage, that is, he was my first real Transformers toy, so that gives him a pretty big boost in my rankings. But putting that aside, he is a pretty fantastic plastic lizard. His Alt-mode is a goofy, oddball, asymmetrical cyborg frilled lizard with a great gimmick of his frill extending as he spits out a missile. And the aesthetic here is top-notch BW fare, the best flavor of horrid mutant cyborg. It only gets better from there, his transformation is solid, but a fun reversal of the typical Beastformer formula and does a fantastic job placing kibble, which results in a fantastic Robot Mode. And goodness, is his Robot Mode fantastic! His proportions are creepy-cool in just the right way, the sculpt work is stellar, and there are just loads of cool details all over him. He's very nicely poseable, and he has a missile club! His kibble is all used just right, the frill as a skirt and the head-tail both serve to make his sillhoette all the more cool and unique. His head overall is just a fantastic piece of work, the base of the tail elegantly transitioning into one wicked helmet while the tail attaches in the most natural way. And the face sculpt! A big toothy maw and one eye is picked out with bright neon red, while the other eye is bolted over with an eyepatch. He's got a spark crystal in a pretty practical place, and those are always nice looking in TM2 figures. His color scheme is also really, really good in that delicious TM2 way. Sharp details in pretty metallic colors? Mmm. In his case, he's got really nice oranges and blues paired with a surprisingly durable chrome application.

He got a cool repaint in Universe, and I even like his name! It's goofy, but I like to think he's in a long line of wrong-name-reptileformers, which he passes down to Geckobot and Nightviper.

He's really been a lifelong favorite toy, one that I've always found really cool for some reason or another, and he's my favorite BW toy because of that.

Injector: the ugliest, most unlovable sonuvabitch ever conceived by any of the toy designers. Too ugliest and too most unlovable for a lot of the kids and collectors alike, if the shelfwarming legions were any indicator at all.

(At the time, I gave serious thought to armybuilding him for no other good reason at all.)

Claw Jaw was always special to me. His design is really neat, and the toy was fun to play with. And I love squids, so I appreciated the representation.

Fun fact: As a child when I first saw Claw Jaw's pic on the back of someone else's card, I couldn't see him very well and thought his tentacles protruding from his back were antlers. I assumed he was a moose.

Who is your favourite Beast Wars character who didn't appear in the cartoon, and why?

Jawbreaker. A awesome TM2 Hyena with great colors that wields a wicked sword and a buzz saw on his arm! He has awesome head sculpts in both modes, and is just an awesome figure. I mean look at him!

And check out his bio card!

He literally is a maximal death machine! He uses a tractor beam to pull his enemies into his spinning blade of death! How crazy is that for a "good guy" to have!

Spittor, particularly the TM2 version. A villain that's literally oozing with toxins is fun enough, but the TM2 version has the added benefit of being gorgeous. The two tones of blue, black, and lime green look amazing together, but those chrome pink eyes are truly the pièce de résistance.
