@  Otaku : (09 July 2020 - 07:47 AM)

@TheMightyMollusk Ah, but the series itself has pronounced "Bass" both ways. ;)  Oh, 90s English Capcom video game voice acting...

@  Maximus Ambus : (09 July 2020 - 03:14 AM)

Looking at my Titan Returns collection I can see they realised they didn't have to paint the Titan Masters after wave one, lazy bums.

@  Maruten : (08 July 2020 - 09:13 PM)

No, I'm going with "fish".

@  TheMightyMol... : (08 July 2020 - 04:19 PM)

He stated that it's in reference to the Mega Man character, so it follows the series' tradition of music names.

@  Cybersnark : (08 July 2020 - 03:59 PM)

The real question is if it's "bass" as in music or "bass" as in the fish.

@  Otaku : (08 July 2020 - 01:27 PM)

Well, at least now I know how to pronounce @Bass X0 's screen name. ^^'  Rather, I think I'd just forgotten.  In my defense, it really does look like an emoticon or maybe just "decoration", which is what a lot of folks add to their screen names online.  Usually because someone has the name they really want. XD

@  ▲ndrusi : (08 July 2020 - 01:27 PM)

Extremely unimpressed with your idea that someone making a negative observation you don't like means they "got triggered."

@  NotVeryKnightly : (08 July 2020 - 11:16 AM)

You know somebody asked "And this would be in relation to... what exactly?"

@  Bass X0 : (08 July 2020 - 11:15 AM)

Its because someone got triggered over my random musings instead of just ignoring them. If I read one of your comments that is of no relevance or interest to me, I don't feel the need to say so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (08 July 2020 - 10:56 AM)

All this over someone's username lol

@  ▲ndrusi : (08 July 2020 - 08:34 AM)

Bazro.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (08 July 2020 - 06:34 AM)

It could be Bass 10-0

@  Nevermore : (08 July 2020 - 06:11 AM)

How do you pronounce yourself? "Bass Ex-O" or "Bass Ex-Zero"?

@  Bass X0 : (08 July 2020 - 03:23 AM)

I did almost go with Vile Bass X0, because Vile is cool too.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (07 July 2020 - 08:34 PM)

Bossk Saw

@  ▲ndrusi : (07 July 2020 - 04:16 PM)

Bass XD

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 03:43 PM)

And its not Bass XO, its Bass X0, as in Bass, X and Zero from the Mega Man series.

@  -LittleAutob... : (07 July 2020 - 02:33 PM)

@Trpodeca :( :(

@  -LittleAutob... : (07 July 2020 - 02:32 PM)

Thats what a gray rock is? Then I'm not one.

@  Trpodeca : (07 July 2020 - 02:12 PM)

Man I just learnt about what seemed like a really cool show, only to realize it was a dream and it dosen't really exist.

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 01:02 PM)

Just something I read that I wanted to share. I heard "gray rock" mentioned in a video, so I looked it up and that was the definition.

@  TheMightyMol... : (07 July 2020 - 12:20 PM)

It's a fancy way of saying "Ignore annoying people".

@  NotVeryKnightly : (07 July 2020 - 12:15 PM)

Bass XO has a habit of pasting random drivel here as if doing so were profound.

@  wonko the sane? : (07 July 2020 - 11:30 AM)

And this would be in relation to... what exactly?

@  Bass X0 : (07 July 2020 - 11:25 AM)

"One strategy for dealing with a narcissist or sociopath is to act like a "gray rock," meaning that you become uninteresting and unresponsive. You don't feed their needs for drama or attention. You don't show emotion, say anything interesting, or disclose any personal information"

@  Nevermore : (06 July 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Oh wow. Studio Series Offroad Bumblebee is awesome. His articulation is amazing.

@  -LittleAutob... : (06 July 2020 - 11:18 AM)

I've never seen anything from him before, but he's very entertaining. On the one hand, I'm glad he didn't have to linger over and talk about every point of articulation, but I wish he'd done a size comparison with a Deluxe!

Shouldn't gravity be doing something?

Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

No no no, you use a Satan banana!

The burger looks good, though.  On the other hand, I don't think we have any A&Ws in the area.

Yeah, the food review video thing is something I find genuinely interesting since taste is so subjective.

Whenever some fast food chain tries out something new and experimental I always jump on Youtube to see if Ken or Dayum Drops have tried it yet.

I've been to that A&W, it's just up the road a few minutes from one of my walmarts.  I'm happy they were represented well. very polite.

and yes, the Grampa burger is a little meaty... but that's why you get the rootbeer.. it's like a mini-reward for each successful nibble of massive meat.

If I'm going to injest that much meat my go-to is still the Baconator.

In fact....

TOPIC CHANGE!

What's your favorite fast food 'signature' burger. McDonald's has their Big Mac, BK has their Whopper, Wendy's has either the Baconator or the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger (depending on who you ask!) so what is your go to signature burger?

For me it's probably a Rally's/Checker's Big Bufford. Maybe it's that it's pretty cheap (2 for $5 a lot of times) Maybe I'm just a sucker for Rally's fries complimenting the burger, maybe I like how greasy it is. All I know is that out of all the chain's signature meat patties, it's probably the one I most frequently have a craving for.

The Big Buford is, as I recently discovered, very good, especially for the price, but I have to still lean towards the Hardee's Thickburger as my favorite signature burg.

It's pricier, but I think it's slightly better quality overall.

That said, when McDonald's had their deluxe quarter pounders, those were surprisingly good!

I haven't eaten a Hardees burger in probably almost 10 years. They just got to where they didn't taste good any more. I should likely try them again, they might be better than I remember.

Hmmm, I mean it sounds really great - but I was specifically asking for fast food signature burgers. Weber's, awesome as they sound, don't really count.

o_O? everyone in Ontario has a little Weber's in them. I mean sure... it's a Hamburger ... it's not a

"fancy name goes here" burger... but like people make it a yearly vacation spot.

If you can do that with just a regular old hamburger does it really need to be named "Weber's really super awesome bestever burger of alltime burger" burger

XD

but okay, put me down for a "Bacon Double Quarter Pounder with cheese" at McDs

Well my point is that I don't feel like something like that entirely qualifies as fast food, especially since there seems to be only 1 location.

Local eateries are awesome, and I'd love to try Weber's sometime in the future - but I specifically avoided using any of my own areas notable burger joints like Bravas or Powers for exactly that reason.

Soda: There's several I just love to treat myself to when I can. Virgil's Root Beer is excellent, micro-brewed with real sugar, herbs and spices. Another root beer at a Ren Faire near Chicago had a black licorice taste to it, but I haven't had that in awhile so I'm not sure which is better. There's some Italian brand sodas with actual fruit flavor, and tart too. There was a limited edition Green tea ginger ale that I loooove, so good! Last I checked, it was still sold near my parents but I've been hoarding some bottles so long that most of the carbonation is gone. Finally, I gotta have my Ramune flavored sodas. I jump around flavor wise, but usually default to melon. A float with vanilla ice cream is delish! Plus, the marble clinking adds that nostalgia factor for me.

Burgers: I guess Five Guys doesn't count since you customize the toppings/condiments every time. Wendy's junior bacon cheeseburger is decent. One of their new salads, Power Mediterranean, is surprisingly good.

Maybe it's just the availability here, but I can't say I'm too fond of any of the signature burgers I've had from major chains.

I tend to just get the biggest burger on the menu regardless of signature status, so I dunno. I guess Double Whopper, but I prefer Wendy's or Five Guys over Burger King. The Smoke House Double at Johnny Rocket's is pretty good too.

On soda: Generally Dr Pepper or Cherry Coke. Mtn Dew Black Label is good, but a little pricey.
