@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

Welcome. I just came into that trick myself recently, so happy to share.

All the new Diaclone stuff looks great, can anyone explain to me why they cost so much? Are the production runs super small? Are they that intricate partswise?

I don't know about production runs, but they're definitely pretty intricate in design and parts count.

None of the "hollowness" we see with most mainline Transformers.  Lots of paint and sculpted detail, lots of parts and such with each figure (including all those little pilots), and a general high quality collector feel.

I was definitely taken aback when I first got Diabattles and realized how small he was for the price.  But the quality is definitely up there for most everything they do.

Yeah, what Randy said. I don't think the production runs are super small, but I also suspect they are smaller than most mainline series with big nostalgia-fueled franchises behind them. That, plus what I bet is a pretty large concept/engineering budget (it's incredible how many different options are built into these mecha, especially cross-line), would contribute to the price. And stir in the generally increasing price of toy-stuff in this era.

I'd love to hear what sort of work was put into making the pilot figures function as they do, especially since we recently got the -- larger, less articulated -- Spike minifigure with MP-44 that falls apart at a glance, while the Dianauts feel incredibly durable.

Basically the appeal of this line is pure design, taken to its logical extreme, and yeah, that sadly means a very high price for what initially feels like a smaller amount of toy real estate.

Something like Tridasher is super high quality.  Handling it you'd think it's something close to Masterpiece level.  As while at a glance it seems like something that might come from Generations, but once you handle it in person, you can tell it's a lot more substantial than that.

I love the heck out of his forearms and lower legs for example.  Definitely not something that you'd see at lower price levels.

Also driving up the cost is the precision at such a small scale. Compare the Dianauts to Human Alliance figures. At scales like those, even tiny errors in paint alignment can look really off, but every single Dianaut I have has perfect paint apps on their face or helmet faceplate, and on their chest. And the molding, on fists that are barely over a millimeter across you can clearly make out pretty much every individual knuckle.

Yeah, it's clear that Bumblebee went through most of the design process without Spike in mind. Dianauts are a critical feature. I figured it was more fair to compare them to the Human Alliance figures because those were also a uniting feature of their line.

Yeah, that's quite fair. And I think the Dianauts actually have more articulation than the HA figures, right? It's been a while since I handled one, but I remember they didn't have elbow joints.

Yep, and there's also the tiny magnets, I'd love to see how those are produced. They have to be something super high quality to make something that tiny hold up even the weight of a Dianaut.

Unlike mainline toylines, the production of Diaclone is specifically geared towards adult collectors, and they base the sizes of their productions runs on pre-orders, without plans for additional production runs of any given item.

Once something is sold out, that may be it.

Until they reissue the mold in different colors.

I am really happy with the line, and absolutely love how much of an effort they make to have all the modes and transformations be as realistic as possible, with no Voltron or PR type combining going on.  The little details really bring out the character in the line.

Now if only DHL would deliver my Trijetter.  Should have gotten it on Wed, but they are very inconsistent with delivering to my PO Box.  Both Blackarachnia and Bumblebee were delivered without incident last week, but this week they keep trying to deliver while the place is closed...

The Trivers figures are fantastic. I really can't wait to get Tridigger in hand. While I enjoy the all of the mech modes for this line, the real treats are all the combinations and vehicles you can make with them.

New TRIverse Bullet Cores, giving the Tridasher and Trijetter the Shadowjeter head and Tridigger the Space Marines version's head.

Also new TRIverse robot, Trirambler. Definitely some Cy-Kill vibes. Hope he gets a black, gray, and green recolor. That'd be so awesome.

Wait, that's not Shadowjeter's head but a new one. I just got mine yesterday, so I guess I'm not familiar with it yet.
