The goth band kid definitely had to be for one of the new shows as his intro and part makes zero sense as is. Given the other new kids are definitely for the Aliens show I have to assume he's gonna be for the Wizards one.
-ZacWilliam, great series conclusion though. I do hope we see the main characters here again someday after the spin offs.
Or the proverbial ailerons of Titanium Moosebots?

So watched through 3 Below and it's about the same as Trollhunters in Quality which really isn't too surprising. Sadly as it's the Aliens coming to Earth type of story we don't get to explore their world as much as Trollhunters centered in the Troll Market and other settings. But it ties itself to the previous series in great and previously unseen ways. A certain favorite side character of Toby's turns out to be another visitor from the skies. Dude was practically in the picture of the series the whole time yet only gets revealed now in this series. And there is about 3 episodes involving Jim, Toby, and Claire with one being a previously unseen adventure set before Aja and Krel appeared in season 3 while the other two episodes see their perspective of the episodes they previously appeared in on Trollhunters. But sadly this brings back the use of our Creepslayers Steve and Eli, with Steve playing a larger role than previously.
And I've yet to really go off on the mains yet. Aja is the rebellious Princess wanting to explore the world at large and Krel is the tech savant genius who is overly confident in his skills but not so much in himself overall. Then there is Varvatos Ves, the captain of the guard in charge of protecting the two. Over zealously, combative warrior type who basically gets holo disguised as the twos Grandfather. He also gets a fun tie to the Trollhunters series when he falls for an Earthling late in the season.
Our Villain like Gunmar before, Morando is hands off this season sending Bounty Hunters instead after the three While only usually appearing near the end of the episodes to let us know how he's controlling their homeworld and how the resistance tries to subvert him on the homeworld.
I can't say I like it as much as Trollhunters as I feel the need to lump it together with Trollhunters. If this was where you started it would be odd to see some of the preexisting Troll world concepts randomly pop in. It's not impossible but the episodes featuring Jim and the rest of the Trollhunter crew rely on your knowledge of the series somewhat while not being totally out there. But even than when Aja goes to a bonfire with some of the other kids, the excuse told for why Toby, Claire and Jim aren't around is due to their going to visit their uncle Merlin, and then proceeds to give us a 5 second clip of the Trollhunters episode with them finding Merlin. Then there is the original Trollhunters episode that featured Aja and Krel where now it kind off feels like a kind of a slog seeing Aja and Krel's point of view and their entire reasoning for helping Jim. That and the season arc coincides with the final battle in Trollhunters for the most part shoving more of the 3 Below cast in the middle of the conflict as well as fighting off their own problem at the same time. I'm more eager seeing whats to come since that will be post Trollhunters and potentially has shaken up the cast dynamic as well.

The general premise seems rather like a mashup of Trollhunters, Invader Zim, and Steven Universe. Like, its the Crystal Gems living in Zim's spaceship-house (complete with robot parents) menaced by Space Gunmar... sorta.
