I came up for an thing for ANN/AVP that used Gearshift's original idea for it, basically:
The Soundwave and Space Case Universe pack represents Viron versions of the character who are female. They're known as the Decepti-Sister Idols, infamous among the Autobots for using their melodic voices and feminine charm to make the Autobots incapable of stopping them from commiting whatever heinous crime they have planned. The only Autobot immune to them is X-Brawn, mostly cause he's tone-deaf.
A female Soundwave...I like it! Completely different from Primax Soundwave, but I'm assuming thats what you were going for. But was this idea authorial intent or did it become canon? Because I dont recall seeing this on AVP unless I somehow missed it.
If Alexis thinks it's okay, I guess I'll share my own thoughts on the matter.
I'll admit I didn't make them idols. The original narrative of their inclusion was Vector and Rhinox getting drunk on Energon wine and recalling a pair of particularly boisterous straggler sisters from the Universe War who helped make the upper class of Axiom Nexus aware of the crisis towards its end, allowing them to become more actively involved in taking refugees in.
I believe it was almost at a publishable state, but then put on the backburner for a longer answer detailing tons of things about the Universe War, which had a conflicting backstory but retained the idea that they were girls (which I won't go into detail regarding, since it wasn't mine). Eventually, that answer was later rejected very close to the end, preventing either answer from having happened.
Why was it rejected at the end though? It seemed like it could really fit in with the Universe storyline
