@  Sabrblade : (24 April 2018 - 02:01 PM)

And only Optimus was angry. Hound and Crosshairs were happy jerks. They loved killing because killing gave them pleasure.

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 April 2018 - 11:54 AM)

It was AoE, they were all jerks.

@  Broadside : (24 April 2018 - 11:09 AM)

I like his design. I think I've entirely blotted his personality out of my memory.

@  Shrug : (24 April 2018 - 06:53 AM)

I dislike him despite the trenchcoat. He's a jerk, and not the lovable kind. One note, and that note is douchebag.

@  Cybersnark : (23 April 2018 - 04:47 PM)

Honestly, I like him DESPITE the "trenchcoat." I prefer to keep it folded behind him like some Gundam-style flight-pack.

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (23 April 2018 - 11:04 AM)

People really love movieverse Crosshairs sheerly for the sake of his trenchcoat, don't they?

@RichardT1977 @TM2-Megatron I'm not normally one to pull the Ruined Forever card but I care less than zip about anything involving the 2017 Power Rangers movie! They screwed it up worse than Bay past DoTM and a Mastodon has four legs not six! While I'm on this mini rant anyone remember the scans of the Super Sentai Mecha book from a while back? Would it be against the rules to ask if anyone knows where to find the new updated book scanned? I really want the Concept Art for ideas.

@  TM2-Megatron : (21 April 2018 - 08:27 PM)

I dunno if I'd go that far. I enjoyed the first Bayformers more than the MMPR Movie remake

@  RichardT1977 : (21 April 2018 - 08:22 PM)

For the record, it was better than the (live-action) Transformers movies.

@  Otaku : (20 April 2018 - 10:04 PM)

@Sabrblade Vulture tends to fare poorly as his own boss. Working for a great version of Doc Ock ain't a bad gig... and I did ask if about "bad" as opposed to "not the best". ;)

@  Plokatron : (20 April 2018 - 09:53 PM)

@Egon1982 No my friend Mutator Spiders as in get caught in their web and you are mutated into a even more animalistic creature than you were. Hordika were Half Sentient beings half Wild animal and unlike Spiderman it affected each race slightly differnt with Toa being of a similar mutation to each other. My guess for Spiderman is he would become more spider like but with a inside skeletal structure hmm wonder what Visorak Venom would do to CNA make Dinobot Predacon like monsters or something wild?!

@  Paladin : (20 April 2018 - 04:15 PM)

compared to the "youth-sucking" gimmick from the other series? BIG step up.

@  Sabrblade : (20 April 2018 - 03:57 PM)

@Otaku: What about that show's take on Vulture? He had potential at first but he eventually just settled into being a lackey rather than his own boss.

@  Egon1982 : (20 April 2018 - 02:44 PM)

Mutator spiders as in man-spider?

@  Otaku : (20 April 2018 - 11:06 AM)

If I were still trying to find any of these guys I'd be very interested in this. As is, a slightly different deco isn't enough for me to want to go out hunting blind bags. Especially when there are no codes to tell me who's in the bag!

.... oh dang. I somehow skipped that part. Dollar General and Family Dollar.

Also, the one Series 4 bag I found at Family Dollar was an old style. I didn't open it, I found the 2x4 stand brick through the bag.

Man, I guess I walked right past these the other day when I was in there getting a couple of the larger sets.  I figured they were just old stock of the original release.  The more you know!

New-body Kreons MIGHT be at Dollar General only.

I only found two S2 Kreons at a single Family Dollar (all the others had S4), and while they're 2015 re-releases... they're a weird hybrid. They have the new plate-stand rather than the bricks, but they use the old style of body and original tampographs... but the arms HAVE been slightly retooled with sharper, more angled cuffs, the same retooling the 2014 AOE-and-such Kreons use. (And I just checked, the one S4 I got from Walgreens has the same cuff retooling.)

The FD Kreons have the bag code 52361 on the top-right and their UPC ends with 3, so watch for that. The definitely-new-body ones are stamped 60041 and have a different UPC ending in 9. My two duplicate "hybrids" are Scourge and Acid Storm... so right now I don't know if these releases of Lugnut and Hoist have the parts changes from the 60041 versions.

Kreon-Scourge-Mix.jpg

I've gotten the full run of S2 now, but none of the Dollar Generals I hit today had S1. Irksome. I'd really like to know if S3 has gotten (or will get) the same treatment.

I'm surprised they're still making Kre-O toys, honestly. I thought that the line had kind of fizzled out last year or so.

Okay. Just looked, the mix-Kreon from Family Dollar's UPC is the same as the original from 2012.

The Dollar General UPC is different, and the same for both S1 and S2. So... this looks to be a whole new run specifically for Dollar General.

The photos are appreciated, the sharper deco means I probably can't ignore these. Does the reality that some factory somewhere is still producing these offer any hope that we're getting a "1986 year book" SDCC set? The line was pretty much dead when they offered up last year's set.

I loved the Warrior series, it's unfortunate that people here never had a fair shot at them. Wild West Optimus is one of the best things ever.

Edit: Eep, yeah 1987 was a typo.

Kre-O us still producing new sets for China, but based on a sentai/masked-rider/wahatever series over there.

So and SDCC set is not impossible. I'd wager it hinges heavily in how the last one sold.

I've been meaning to start scouring Ebay for them.  They're not all winners, but some of them like Stagecoach Optimus and Old-Timey-Radio Soundwave are just awesome.  I'm surprised they're going to such an effort to release new versions of old designs instead of developing some new ones.  I know that new decos would require extra resources, but they're already paying somebody to refurbish the old designs.  It'd be awesome to have half a wave of new figures instead of a full wave of old ones.

Went through my haul just now--my 60041 new-tampo Collection 2s all came from the same display case at one Family Dollar and have the 653569198583 UPC, so it seems like the 60041 stamp is the important bit. The seven C2s I had picked up beforehand at a different FD are all hybrids, stamped 52431.

Had some help finishing off Collection 1, so now I've got one each of Dirge, Bludgeon, Hook, Insecticon and Inferno available.

Okay. I need to know if the "hybrid" releases of Lugnut and Hoist have the parts changes the latter Dollar General versions do. I'm thinking they PROBABLY do, as the hybrid Scourge I got had some add-on pieces in the new hues. I've still got a goodly chunk of Dollar Generals and Family Dollars west of here to explore, but not quite the time (or funds, got to wait a week for that part...)

And I'm dying to know if Collection 3 got a 2015-body release.

And I'm dying to know if Collection 3 got a 2015-body release.

M "Or Even A Hybrid Run" Sipher

I'll have a stupid-close look tonight--I've hybrids of those two as well as Perceptor, Vehicon and Blight I can examine.

Hrm. Five of twelve--maybe *I* should just track 'em all down for kicks...

Wait... Family Dollar?

So... we're possibly looking at a UPC change specifically for Dollar General releases, but the changeover to 2015 style bodies may predate that?

Nor have I. But yeah, all the 2s I bought during this little renewed hunt came from Family Dollar, wile all the 1s came from Dollar General. One of the DGs I visited did have 2s instead of 1s, but since I'd already nailed a full display box from the FD a couple blocks away, I didn't examine it much.
