Great news. G.I. Joe was an earlier series than Transformers though and may have had a lot more Johnny Douglas score, including almost every cue that used the main theme. I know I've seen people who claim M.A.S.S. Device was entirely scored by Douglas. That aired right before Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends Season 3 in 1983. Then the next Joe series and the first Transformers series debuted in 1984 at the same time. That M.A.S.S. Device music was re-used frequently throughout the series. When you say that "only the rock disco theme" from Spider-Man might not be included, does that mean the other Douglas scoring from G.I. Joe WILL be released?
Is it realistic we're going to get 15 hours of music released? I do think that total probably includes everything Walsh did beyond these 4 core series, like D&D, Inhumanoids, etc.
I also wonder how they'll handle the re-used tracks. Joe and Transformers shared a lot of tracks. Will they be repeated on two different albums, or just put with the series they appeared in first, if that can even be determined? Or will this all be a generic Hasbro set that does not associate tracks with specific shows?
