TMNT 2 First Trailer HD

The first movie ripped off The Amazing Spider-Man, so which alien invasion flick is this movie copying? The Avengers? DOTM? Man of Steel?
And Casey's in dire need of a better/more obvious Brooklyn accent.
On the upside, however, like how the first movie nailed the Turtles personality-wise, it looks like this film has likewise done justice to Bebop and Rocksteady. And possibly to Baxter Stockman as well (if that's who the Nutty Professor is supposed to be).

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.
If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.
Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

But here's the thing - those sequences were already visually indistinguishable, in ways not deriving from their respective source media, and were made that way during concurrent and unconnected development. Is every nostalgia property over a certain dollar value required to end in a climax with space worm ships and their SUV-shaped VTOL fightercraft?
Is it because Independence Day is officially not old, but retro, now? But even that isn't nearly as specific as the aliens everyone's fighting lately.
Shouldn't gravity be doing something?
Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

Have to admit the first movie Left me a bit cold, didn't hate it but I wasn't blown away. Started watching this with mild interest all the way to the point that Bebop and Rocksteady showed up. The way they come across in the trailer is just so right. Even the scene at the end with the tank would usually have me rolling my eyes with the slow motion and near miss but seeing Rocksteady bellowing and doing a fist pump in the air has me grinning like an idiot. This movie actually has my attention now.

I didn't see the first one, but this trailer looks pretty good! I might even have to check out the first if it's streaming anywhere before this comes out.
And SUPERbuying is not quite as extreme as buying the HUG outta something.
There's a hierarchy.

Heh, I ought to know better than to get too excited based on that trailer, but that really did look to have everything a 1980s/90s cartoon Turtle fan could reasonably want - 'cause that sure looks like a portal to Dimension X to me!
My big problem with the first movie was that the intimacy of the Turtles' origin story was carved out - the hasty re-write that made it so Sachs was NOT the Shredder left the Turtles and Splinter emotionally severed from their villain, and had them learning ninjutsu of a book. Very cold and dispassionate, not the usual "family rivalry" that defines how they are linked. With that out the way, I think I'm being foolish enough to hope this sequel does more stuff right.

My big problem with the first one was how very very light and hollow it felt. Like the Remake of Clash of the Titans it managed to somehow remove all the depth and... Content... Of the original without being any shorter. It wasn't so much bad mostly as it was the thinnest shell of a chocolate Easter bunny possible and completely hollow inside.
-ZacWilliam, not terrible bad just so not anything.

so why is everyone suddenly OK with this? It still has all the stuff we hated in the TF films...

The first movie's major issue was that it suffered from an identity disorder thanks to the original script being heavily revised, but not really rewritten, to be more familiar. There was still a lot of good in the movie, this one so far seems like they're not gonna have that so we will likely see what worked improved on.

I was suprised how much I enjoyed the first movie. It ended up being very good turtle staring in a "michael bay film". If they can bring those turtles into a less hollow, more fun world, I think this movie could be great.

If the actual film can focus on the Turtle brothers that much, and make Bebop and Rocksteady as good as they look, then i have hope.
I have yet to watch the first one, since i was put of by gow heavily it focuses on Megan Fox, while hollowing the great family origin of the Turtles for some trite conveniance.
However, this trailer implies the filmakers might have more care for this one.
I cross my fingers.
