Ha! Talk about getting away with something!

@  Maximus Ambus : (01 June 2020 - 09:08 AM)

Carnivac was still an evil Decepticon at heart, and no one shot him in the back for it.

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 May 2020 - 06:52 PM)

*stares at the light switch* .... I see what you did there

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (30 May 2020 - 01:40 PM)

*hands llittleautobot1218 a light switch* There you go.

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 May 2020 - 10:53 AM)

I feel a need to lighten up the mood.... ;)

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 May 2020 - 10:38 AM)

:p

@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Already seen it online.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:42 PM)

Who's excited for tomorrow? The only thing that makes Monday worth it is the Cyberverse episodes .-.

@  wonko the sane? : (24 May 2020 - 12:30 PM)

Welcome. I just came into that trick myself recently, so happy to share.

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 12:05 PM)

Thanks, wonko the sane? for the tip with the cloning. That helped a lot!

All right! Cloning my old HHD to an SSD and then swapping out the drive was successful, it would appear. Finally.

Scientist Perceptor is. Sniper Perceptor less so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:51 AM)

wasn't just any murder...her friends and her are on a hunting trip and come across 2 guys burying a body...they then proceed to brutally murder her friends, she escapes and is left all mentally messed up and becomes completely agoraphobic as well as just generally afraid that the killers will eventually find her.

Thats why The Ring Of Volthoom (aka the Power Ring from Earth-3) chooses her....because she is utterly fearful. blah blah blah fast forward she FINALLY overcomes her "Great Fear", that ring goes bye bye and a real GL ring chooses her...making her Green Lantern of sector 2814.6. Eventually her and Simon are forced to share a single power battery so that they will become partners and learn to work together.

Shes like Kyle, in that shes a very "Human" GL. John, Guy, Hal...theyre all theses big, strong, smart, rage-y, HERO types...Jess and Simon are written much more Flawed and Down To Earth...thats one of the reasons i really like Her, and to a slightly lesser extent Him (but he does have one of the best designed GL costumes ever, Coming in just below the Justice League 3000 costume for me.)

TLl;DR: Yeah, shes got a pretty messed up origin story in the comics as well as the animated film. Even more gruesome in the books. =]

Uh, who's Simon?

Ah, I do like that idea that the Crime Syndicate Power Ring picked her because she has great fear. And it makes sense that when she overcame it, she became a full fledged Green Lantern.

Did she ever find the killers and avenge her friends? Who the hex wrote her messed up origin too? Peter Tomasi? Geoff Johns?

Simon Baz was another new GL that came around the same time. If I remember right hes a Muslim from Detroit who was chosen by Sinestro to replace him as a GL after his brief relapse as one. He was in a bad place at the time and of course being Muslim was being held in prison as a terrorist as the ring came to him. Hes also known for being the Lantern toting an actual gun with him

Later on him and Jessica being the Rookie Lanterns have their separate power batteries fused into one by Hal to get them used to working together as a team

I really wish they'd give up on their Nu52 esque designs and inject a little more colour into their characters. I've never really liked thst look for WW.

Still, it is good to her getting another starring role.

I'm not on the edge of my seat waiting to see Wonder Woman's origin portrayed yet again, but that is a nice big collection of her rogue's gallery. And all costumed Man's World baddies instead of gods, a nice change of pace.

Just watched Hush. Was really disappointed

Spoiler

It's a good movie and I know doing a straight adaption would spoil everything but that was something I feel shouldn't have changed. I mean with one of the earlier adaptions already coming out before hand it kinda made one thing a tad harder to try from the original story, but changing this one bit makes Hush a one off villain in this animated universe unless they pull a massive retcon heel turn.

Only just finished Hush. I had to read the wiki comic summary too. So the Hush movie just killed off that doctor? Weird.

I thought Batman getting his head examined by the doctor would come into play (induced delusions, mind control etc) but it doesn't even come up in the comics either.

I just now finished watching Bloodlines only having gotten around to it needing to kill time between naps. (weird work hours let me tell you) and yeah I'm really looking forward to WW84 now to hopefully NOT do the origin again... Seeing Dianna Sadly leaving the island AGAIN in this movie... is becoming the Pearls in crime alley of the character....

my god

Thank goodness Steve was handled perfectly well in this one otherwise it would have been a tough sit... I love all of Wondie's villains and sure I called the twist right away being familiar with the material ... but I really don't need my villains tossed aside for a 3rd act magic creature vs amazons kaiju fight...

and she didn't even spin even a half turn to get into her costume... -1 point right there XD

still though, I give it a solid 90% for not being another batman or superman movie.

having this pair with the Death short bumps the whole thing up to a must have afaic, so there you go.

Rosario Dawson did a Fabulous job... I hope they keep her for the role until she doesn't want it anymore

I guess it wasn't just the JL Dark movie that came out.

Edit - I actually enjoyed that quite a lot. It was as brutal as Flashpoint Paradox and has all sorts of cameos.

Can't believe Mairghread Scott of Windblade wrote it.

Just two stuff I didn't like would be the sudden clean shaveness and why did HE have to return, ugh. Surprise bit is the male bisexual outing.

Justice League DARK - The Apokolips War

"Break all the toys you like. We're pushing the reset button anyway."

Hoo boy. That was definitely a thing that happened. A relentlessly-grim action-vehicle that out-Snyder's Snyder, and asks the all-important question, "how many recognizable characters can we kill with extreme brutality?". Add the odd bit of humor here-and-there, and some (largely stilted) touching moments, and there you go. But the whole thing is driven by what the plot-demands, and the characters are just there for the ride.

In the end, I enjoyed it for what it was. It was definitely action-packed, but the whole exercise felt hollow.

"Suck it, bitches."

I enjoyed Red Son for what is, though i do feel that the story does suffer when it montage glosses over some plot points. Also a little disappointed that they didn't go the whole way and do a post credits sequence to do the time loop twidt. Voice cast was great.

JL Dark Apokalips War was enjoyable in the same way that Flashpoint Paradox was. A dark and doomed tale of fighting the end of sll things. Though i do agree it is a bit hollow since we know its the end of that universe/timeline. Which, while i have always been critical of the darker Nu52ness of this current DCAU, i can't help but wonder about what they have planned for their new post-post-Flashpoint universe

"King Shark is a shark.". Hehe

I don't watch Legends of Tomorrow so I didn't know that Constantine was already media canon as bisexual. I guess what surprised some people was that it was King Shark he had sex with. And Mairghead Scott (probably jokingly) confirming that Constantine was the submissive one in their relationship. And again, doomed timeline so might as make all sorts of stuff up for fun.
