The best way to prove this is to give an example where the match is really lopsided in favor of one character but in popularity they're either evenly matched or the weaker one is more popular.

The "who would win in a fight" discussions are really just people trying to make "which one's better" into something you can theoretically measure objectively, usually in a very specific way they think they've predetermined their favorite will win.

I'm very happy with the changes. I didn't do the Characters Choice, nor will I do the Filmation sub, but I would likely do a TC one-providing a good chunk of the core cast is in it.

Mattel heard the fans and sent 4H back to the table for a redux on Lion-O.
 
It's not a huge difference and still doesn't address the fact that he's just a little too bulky for the character imo, but he looks good.

I prefer the new head but like the darker colors. I want these but I don't want to pay Mattel money especially if they have a history of credit card compromising.

There hasn't been any credit card issues with Matty. I've been MOYUC subscriber the entire time (since 2008).

Less expressive head sculpt, more subdued colors (ie less orange skin more tan), tamed eyebrows.

Lion-O's crazy eyebrows always cracked me up. I can imagine him waking up every morning and having to carefully do them to look just right. He must spend more time before the mirror than the female Thundercats. :D

Club Third Earth announced. Since its monthly payments and not all upfront like I feared, I'm totally signing up!

The first year lineup is as follows:
LionO - July

Pumyra (!!!) - September
Decrepit Mumm-Ra club exclusive - also September

There's also word of a SDCC exclusive character. My bet's on Ghost Jaga.
