I've said it before and I'll say it again, cloud streaming as anything other than a rental or subscription service can go die in a fire and Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves for allowing it on their platform.

The only reason games are getting that big are the graphics quality. I dunno about you guys, but I mostly play my switch in portable mode, so... graphics aren't exactly a high priority. They could keep the size of the cards small for another year or two if they buck the trend for the mostly unnecessary 4K resolutions.
I play on the go, but sometimes I play my Switch on a 4K 120Hz HDR screen, so I'd like for them to look as nice as possible, thank you very much.
I will easily shell out for a third Switch if a Pro model is released.

NintenDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED again.
Looks nice.

Enjoy it, because this is probably the last Bethesda game that'll ever be on a Nintendo platform.
Oh yeah because Microsoft and Nintendo have always been at logger heads with each other due to that time when Uncle Nintendo crossed paths with Daddy Microsoft and got mud on his shoes.
Ironbite-to this day they've hated one another.

Yeah, it’s been argued in the past that Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax is unlikely to impact any broader porting strategies. It’s worth remembering that guys like Bethesda weren’t exactly jumping at the bit to port their wares to the Switch to begin with. But it’s also worth remembering that Microsoft, as a whole, isn’t going to port much to the system to begin with. Stuff like the indies? Sure. Entries in their flagship franchises? Probably not, even for the spin offs.
I’m curious how the port job did this time. Doom 16 was a relatively early release for the Switch, I’m wondering what the additional years of work Panic Button has under its belt doing Switch ports will reflect in the final product.
I’m baffled the physical release got scrapped, considering the game is small enough to fit on a cartridge. It’d be nice to have a self contained cart given how many physical offerings from the “big publishers” amount to partial games or glorified DRM. Hell, I don’t recall seeing either Doom or Wolfenstein II getting major clear outs (though, Youngblood did in some places, it seems), so I’m not sure I see an overt reason aside from the perception that the game’s later release would impact sales enough to not warrant the cost?

For what it's worth, Microsoft games have been ported to the Switch. The Ori games, for example.
Yeah, but that's an indie game they published. Dust: an Elysian Tail got ported to Linux back in the day.
But Bethesda is their new big AAA studio. Porting something they made is about as likely to see a non-Microsoft platform as Halo.

So the Switch finally got another streaming service app. And it's a new Funimation interface. For the most part it seems to fix some issues I've seen with previous versions of the app with one glaring misstep for me. It's missing a my library tab for my digital copies. For the most part it's not that big a deal.... other than that's the only way I've gotten to certain movie purchases like Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re:surection and the DB Super Broly movie. So one step forward and two steps back

These past two months there's been rumours of Resident Evil Revelations 3 with Rebecca Chambers back in a starring role coming to Switch as a timed exclusive. Also notable is that Monster Hunter Rise uses the RE Engine which may mean Capcom toyed with ports of Resident Evil 7, 2 and 3.

I realize that Giga Cat Mario is supposed to be a lion, but I just can't stop thinking "Super Saiyan Fursuit."
Saiyan is actually in my browser's spellcheck. I'm not sure what to think about that...
