It just depends on what it is. It is preferable to take it to P&R though. But sometimes current news as it's happening is less restrictive.

Yeah. 1. People treat it like Twitter. 2. There's no "take it to P&R" since there's no P&R for the Shoutbox. 3. There's similarly no way to avoid either subjects or people in the Shoutbox since there's no division and it doesn't respect the ignore function, so people end up engaging when they normally wouldn't.

At least here in my home province of Ontario we have a conservative gov't who doesn't want to cuz $$$$, but the argument is that they'll end up paying in medical care anyways for those sick people so why not?

We have paid sick leave here in Canada too, but it's not very much and not everyone has it. So we're trying to get the gov't to extend it, and give it to everyone.

That's the good thing in Germany - we have legally mandated paid sick days. Six weeks (!) for a single cause (consecutive or recurring, as long as it's the same cause; reinfections long after the fact don't count), Everytime the employee gets sick with a new cause, another six weeks start.

That's how my family got sick, my brothers a teacher, he has a class for expelled students, they gave full attendance these past few lockdowns out of sheer boredom, they can turn in sick and break isolation and he nor the other staff, who also got sick, couldn't do anything about it.

Hahahaha! Oh, you're serious. Yeah, no one is going to do that. Far too many are in positions where they simply cannot afford the time off, and most of the rest are the kind who won't wear the mask in a global pandemic, never mind when they alone have the sniffles.

I think it's mostly the masking that's kept the flu season down so much, and that's unlikely to be kept up for that long. I'm sure there'll be some people who keep wearing masks for years after this, but I suspect a larger number are anticipating people able to toss them once vaccinations are complete.

Same in canada. Doctors report it to be basically non-existant. I kinda hope they keep some stuff up after everyone is vaccinated. Like hand sanitizer at store entrances, and actually cleaning the shopping carts.

Just to make Grimlock feel more "wrong", they even highlight how his character just seems ill-suited for a sports car alternate mode in his own backstory.  Hindsight is 20/20, so I now wish they'd made a T-rex that transformed into a sportscar.  Still probably would have been as much or more of a pain to transform, but at least it'd feel more like Grimlock. :D

So apparently Target is having all Amiibos on sale 25% off from March 29 through April 4. I think I'm going to try to pick up the Mario wave then. I really like some of those sculpts a lot better than the Smash versions, especially Luigi.

 

Recent rumor is Gamestop might not be doing preorders for Smash wave 4. My local TRU guy has said they'd be getting in preorder cards, but doesn't know when.  :burn

I have yet to see MarioParty Mario anywhere.

 

but yeah, Party Luigi is much better than that baffling Planking Luigi for Smash.

As far as I know, Mario is only available bundled with Mario Party 10. Even all the ads I've seen show just the other five for sale individually.

 

Although when you open up the MP10 box, it's just Mario in a standard Amiibo package with the game tucked in behind it. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does get sold on his own at some point. Either that, or they decided to sell him either bundled or individually depending on market.

I used the same abbreviation one post above, but I still had to process that for a bit to understand you weren't talking about an Optimus Prime Amiibo.  :doh

 

Now I'm sad. That sounded too good. And yet terrifying to my wallet at the same time.

I found a lone Rosalina Amiibo in New Zealand a few months ago, and I've been carrying her around with me ever since. She's seen 3 countries already, with a few more to go before she gets to go meet her Amiibo siblings that are waiting for us to Smash with back home. I've got Mega Man, Peach, Zelda, Kirby, Pit, DK and Lucario waiting for me somehow. It's ridiculous how Amiibo and Combiner Wars have gotten their hooks in me even while I'm abroad.

So lots of Amiibo news unloaded today

 

SMASH BROS LINE

the next wave of Smash Amiibo which we've seen announced is due May.

 

Next wave is small with just Dark Pit and Palutena in July.

 

And in September we get Olimar, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, Gannondorf, and Bowser JR. 

Thus concludes Smash news

 

Now We seem to be getting a Splatoon Set with a Male and Female Characters and Squid. They seem to unlock new Customization Options

And now we get two new forms of Amiibo. With Yoshis Wooly World they are releasing 3 different colored Yoshi Yarn Plush Amiibos in Green, Pink and Blue.

 

Then we also get the Amiibo Cards that were rumored sometime back as Animal Crossing characters. I'm not sure the exacts but it seems a new Animal Crossing game for 3DS will be coming and be essentially decorating other characters homes for them. From the look of it the Cards will unlock new homes for you to decorate.

Crud your right Charaizard is yet to comein the next wave in May. Hadn't even thought of that. Supposedly Jigglypuff and Greninja got a Japanese release date soon.

 

Actually just checked the Amiibo site and Greninja and Jigglypuff are part of the next wave too. Was that always the case?

I really wish I could preorder the Splatoon Amiibos anywhere, since that appears to be the only way to get the popular ones these days...ugh nintendo, do multiple releases, PLZ!

 

 

I only wanted a handful of these guys to begin with, yet it's nearly impossible to get the fe that I want.

Glad I have no interest in Ness, or going completionist with these.

 

But I did end up getting my first taste of these. Toon Link, Sonic, Samus, and Mega Man.

Those are kind of my favorites from what's out so far. Can't see me picking up anymore for awhile unless I see the Wii Fit Trainer or something.

My roommate preordered Ness, but wasn't able to preorder any of the other wave (sold out) - I want to preorder the Splatoon 3 pack, but I'm stuck at work for the rest of the night.

I'm now of the mind that if I find one I'll find one. Sat for over an hour in line, mind you in the 2nd spot, and half of that time was spent getting nowhere with the computer system. I want Charizard and Pac but not enough to waste a day over. Already irked they are pulling the character exclusive hug again with Greninja. Nintendo should of learned with the Gold Mario exclusivity. That wasn't a bad idea. Making certain normal characters tied to one store is moronic. Could of been timed exclusives and I wouldn't care so much but this is twice I've been hugged over a character I want because I'm nowhere near the stores they come in.

What cheeses me off most is that I was refreshing the amiibo page every 15 minutes and never saw Greninja. I did a search for greninja... and never found the page.


How the bloody heck was I supposed to pre-order it if I could never find the blasted page?
