for real tho i can't be the only person who thinks putting the usb ports in the middle of the front of the system is a bad idea, right?

 

like that'd make it a lot easier to knock the system over if you have something plugged into the front while having it stood up vertically

To me the PS5 looks like a rejected X-Box design. I know that doesn't make sense but that's the vibe I get. Maybe it's the white coloration.

Yeah, as a relative outsider to the whole console space, that's the only thing that really stands out about it to me as unusual. It feels like an evolution of the looks of the Xbox 360, white and contoured, while Xbox has instead gone rectilinear with the One and X and the Playstation aesthetic has been black and bladey since PS2.

Eh...GTAV is an ok game.  Wouldn't call it good.  Besides that's not what they're milking anyways.

Late in the day, I saw an ad for Gamestop for extra % off for 2 or more games $30 and under. We decided to make a quick run to Gamestop, about 10mins before closing. Picked up Batman Telltale series, Shining Resonance, and Code Vein. Unfortunately they didn't have some of the other ones we were looking for, but oh well. Now the real question is when we can be arsed to actually play them.

I love how they changed his face back to resembling his RE 5/6 look but made his voice completely different. Unless it's intentional and we find out that Chris has been infected with a virus that changes his face constantly all this time and it's now moved on to his vocal cords.

Honestly though, if this heel turn evil Chris doesn't turn out to be infected, or a fake, or a clone, or simple Chris playing evil. Then this is not really a fun turn for Resi. Though admittedly, right now we got no real idea of whats coming. I mean, after everything, narratively ehy would Chris roll of a go dark like this.

No but in all seriousness why the hell do both the Xbox Series X and PS5 look so ugly?

 

Like the XSX is just a boring black box that looks like either a mini-fridge or a waste paper basket and the PS5 looks like how some edgy company in the mid-2000s would design their GAMING router designed for maximum GAMING experience online.

The Xbox Series X design seems really consistent with what they were doing with the Xbox One to me. It's an aggressively utilitarian box. They just moved from the PC tower shape to a square footprint. When Apple made a round computer, people said that looked like a wastebasket too. I think the shock of the Xbox being square is going to wear off pretty quickly, but was probably calculated to avoid making it indistinguishable from the previous model at a distance.

 

The Playstation 5 draws back the curtain and reveals that what they'd been doing all along since the PS2 was aping Zaha Hadid.
