The fact that Falco from Star Fox's last name is Lombardi implies that Italians exist in the Star Fox universe.

I mean, since they're clearly speaking Cornarian in the first game, we can surmise that their names are merely translated from their native language and Lombardi is just the closest equivalent.
His actual name is Blebideptbibibdept!

This week on FFXIV, the summer event started so I got some new beach clothes.
Then the next part of the Weapons storyline went up, so I got to pilot a giant magitek robot to fight Sapphire Weapon.
I probably should've done these in the opposite order.

Was I the only person who thought Pokemon was ripping off the Weapons from FF7 when RSE came out?

It's a few days old but how disgusting is it that Epic is trying to hugging weaponise kid's obsession with Fortnite over their hugging corporate slapfight with Google and Apple?

Is the entire american gaming industry run by chuds or something

the extra hilarious thing is tim sweeney going 'these companies don't have the right to dictate how we do our business!!!' but apparently trying to dictate how apple and google do THEIR business is a-ok????
i mean it's one thing to complain about the effective duopoly apple and google have in the mobile market and especially so about apple's 30% fee on the app store (the google 30% sucks too but also slightly less since, you know, you can sideload apps and bypass that completely. doing so on apple would require jailbreaking and voiding your warranty and shit) but putting out a whole video referencing 1984 (which i know was a parody of apple's old ad introducing the macintosh) and coming up with a hashtag is really taking the piss
i'm sure committed socialist george orwell must be so happy that companies are using his work with a simple message of 'TOTALITARIANISM BAD' for their corporate bitch fight
(also, you know, violating apple and google's TOS meaning that the fortnite apps got removed from the app store and play store really shows you that epic doesn't actually give a shit about the users because they could have easily sued apple and google WITHOUT having the apps removed)

Summoning up empathy for Epic would be challenging in any circumstances. They are making a monopoly argument, though, and this really is a space where vendor lock-in is the rule rather than the exception in ways that don't have to be the case. I guess to me the maximally frustrating thing would be to see them make this case, fail, and be the standard things are held up to next time to reinforce that the status quo is all okay with no unfortunate incentives or conflicts of interest.

Shouldn't gravity be doing something?
Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?
