Never had any of the Masters Of The Universe toys but I did like the highly detailed and articulated look of them. I wanted Hasbro to produce an equally highly detailed and articulated range of toys based on Transformers Pretenders outer shells from the 1980s. Although they wouldn't be Pretenders with an inner transformable robot and characters like Thunderwing would have vehicle kibble but would not be able to transform.

@  Steevy Maximus : (26 June 2017 - 08:57 PM)

Still sad that Mattel didn't even take Neca up on the offer to continue the series. Supposedly, NECA initially tried to get Mattel to license the line (with Mattel's name still on it), but had to settle on "Staticion figures "

@  Dracula : (26 June 2017 - 08:04 PM)

every non-Skeletor or He-Man was like winning a battle

@  Dracula : (26 June 2017 - 08:04 PM)

it was just such a difficult line to collect!

@  Dracula : (26 June 2017 - 08:04 PM)

I still have all my 2002 MOTU figures and even though they're usually in storage I don't think I could bear to part with them

@  Echowarrior : (26 June 2017 - 08:02 PM)

Same here. The show that went with it was surprisingly good.

@  RichardT1977 : (26 June 2017 - 08:01 PM)

I totally agree with you about 2002 MotU though.

@  Rycochet : (26 June 2017 - 06:50 PM)

Because people want some approximation of the look and feel of the vintage console and playing experience? It's not like the Mini-Snes is being produced instead of these games being released on the switch VC, that'll happen eventually anyway

@  RichardT1977 : (26 June 2017 - 06:39 PM)

Sega did it with some of their Genesis titles for the PS3 and XBox 360, and Midway did the same. Several times.

@  RichardT1977 : (26 June 2017 - 06:39 PM)

Instead of making classic consoles with classic games built in, why not release those games in classic sets for the Switch?

@  Rycochet : (26 June 2017 - 06:25 PM)

The fate of 2002 MOTU still makes me sad, I loved that line.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (26 June 2017 - 05:59 PM)

Bah. There are many many toys rarer than Movieverse toys. Any character that wasn't He-Man or Skeletor for instance! :)

@  Paladin : (26 June 2017 - 05:16 PM)

Nintendo consoles are the only things rarer than new waves of Movieverse toys.

@  Telly : (26 June 2017 - 04:12 PM)

*nevermind*

@  TM2-Megatron : (26 June 2017 - 03:48 PM)

Nintendo claims they'll be producing "significantly more" units of the SNES, so maybe there's a chance. It'd be better this time if they just took pre-orders, and based their production on that

@  Dracula : (26 June 2017 - 03:46 PM)

Nobody is getting that.

@  Bass X0 : (26 June 2017 - 03:10 PM)

Anyone getting the SNES Classic with StarFox 2?

I have yet to see any TR wave 5 items at retail in my area, only in Internet reports from overseas.

@  unluckiness : (26 June 2017 - 09:28 AM)

They're clogging shelves here, which is odd. I expected the Generations toys to be somewhat cut down in favor of movie stuff.

@  Pennpenn : (26 June 2017 - 08:11 AM)

I dunno, I got a bunch of "Blitzwing and Octone cosplaying as Megatron and Optimus Prime" in my local TRU, does that help?

@  Paladin : (26 June 2017 - 07:52 AM)

so will TitanReturns Blitzwing & Octone ever actually come out or have they just vanished into neverland?

@  Dekafox : (26 June 2017 - 07:10 AM)

With explosions instead of pouches and pockets.

@  Pennpenn : (25 June 2017 - 03:51 AM)

Actually, on the subject of TLK toys, the voyager Nitro Zues or whatver looks pretty good. If I see it cheap I might give it to the Thunderwing head.

@  Pennpenn : (24 June 2017 - 09:58 PM)

Been playing a bit of Saints Row 4 and honestly the Blast Blast is hilariously overpowered.

Didn't Days of Future Past result in a divergent timeline?

Yes.

It's like in Star Trek Into Darkness where Vulcan being destroyed means Khan is a white guy now.

Besides, we're talking about a film franchise where Emma Frost seemingly ages in reverse, so "continuity" is barely an afterthought.

Yeah, the continuity of the X-Men movies was incredibly dicey BEFORE all the timey wimey. This doesn't really bother me much.

There's also the really, really easy out...

Jubilee is, like Psylocke, never named in her appearances. So it simply wasn't the same person.

Or the Jubilee in the original films is Jubilee, daughter of Jubilee.

In X2, when Storm and Nightcrawler go to rescue the children abducted by Stryker, Storm very quickly says "Jubilee" before Kurt teleports in to save them.

Ive kind of just accepted that DOFP was a soft reboot in a sense and just hope the movie is good.

The x-men comics are convoluted enough;i guess that is one aspect the movies got right.

I'll take anything that gives Jubilee more face time. I know she's not the most popular character ever, but I kinda like her. And if they make her an actual mutant with her oringinal powers (you know...as apposed to a de-powered mutant turned vampire) so much the better.

I keep throwing money at the screen but nothing is happening!

Seriously, it's kind of amusing...my apathy for Days of Future Past has transformed into wild excitement for Apocalypse.

So we're up to Beast, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Jubilee, Havok, Angel, and possibly Gambit?

That's a lot of people to fit in between the introduction of Apocalypse and giving the majority of the screentime to Lawrence/McAvoy/Fassbender.

I've just come to accept that X-Movie mutants will have little in the way of actual characterization.

The rumor is that this and the third Wolverine movie are the end of the Singerverse X-Men movies anyway, and we'll get a series wide (rights protecting) reboot in a few years.

Makes a certain amount of sense. Jackman's pushing 50, Jennifer Lawrence is done getting painted blue to play third banana, Fassbender's likely moving on as well.

Ouch!

I hope thats one rumour that isn't true. I mean, one of DOFPs major things was freeing up the X-Universe continuity with the time reset.

Eh, makes sense to me.

Apocalypse wraps things up - leading Magneto into his plot to mutate all non-Mutants and setting up the team from the first X-film. I can't blame Lawrence for being done with that absolutely silly makeup for Mystique and as much as I love Fassbender's Magneto...he doesn't need to be typecast into that role. The man's got talent in change, no sense wasting it playing a costumed super villain.

I think Fassbenders unlikely to be typecast. He's too good for that.

I doubt typecasting is the concern with Fassbender. I'm sure it's the same reason Jennifer Lawrence is moving on: he's one of the most in demand actors in Hollywood, and he signed a multi picture deal right before he got super famous. I'm sure he's just ready to do other things.

She's naked. Even at the time of the first film, the justification for such was flimsy.

I actually kind of liked Magneto's reasoning regarding that in First Class: "Have you ever looked at a tiger and thought you ought to cover it up?"

It's very Magneto, if nothing else.
