On an unrelated note: I just got the BBTS email about kingdom pre-orders... and even the stuff I don't want I'm perfectly willing to get if it means I can have the rest of it.

@  wonko the sane? : (26 September 2020 - 04:08 PM)

It's digimon. So first one, then the other.

@  TheMightyMol... : (26 September 2020 - 12:53 PM)

50/50 odds, it's either a helicopter with limbs, or a scantily-clad human with heli blades on their back. If female, 90% odds on the second one.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (26 September 2020 - 12:39 PM)

I read that as "Helicoptermon" and wondered what kind of Digimon that was.

Hey, new to the boards

@  RichardT1977 : (20 September 2020 - 02:29 PM)

I had an idea for a Spiral Zone/Go-Busters crossover fanfic...

@  wonko the sane? : (19 September 2020 - 06:35 PM)

I loved what was there, and think it's pretty ripe for "renegades" style reboot.

@  Rycochet : (19 September 2020 - 03:13 PM)

It's a shame as I loved Spiral Zone, and the design from the Japanese Toyline of the same name are fantastic, I adore the monowheel motorbike.

@  Rycochet : (19 September 2020 - 03:12 PM)

Hasbro doesn't seem to have any interest in doing anything with the TV show, haven't greenlit any attempt to rerelease it, and there have been approaches, so I think it may be aother one of Tonka's legal carcrashes where everyone involved owns a piece and it's not really worth anyone sticking their neck out to claim ownership.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 01:47 PM)

I feel that homages and references would be a fun way to expand the GI Joe brand, and give a little love to lines that are unlikely to be acknowledged beyond such capacity.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 01:47 PM)

I was under the impression that Bandai was more the character design aspects, not story or characters.

@  Rycochet : (19 September 2020 - 12:55 PM)

Also isn't it in rights limbo, given how it's loosely based on concepts from a BanDai series much like GoBots?

@  Rycochet : (19 September 2020 - 12:52 PM)

We don't need a Spiral Zone reboot, in a decade or so we'll be living it.

@  wonko the sane? : (19 September 2020 - 12:49 PM)

Yeah, but it would fundamentally change the base premise of both gijoe and spiral zone. It's either not the world spanning threat it was, or the zone riders are backed up by a competent force. Either way, you compromise the context of both.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 12:19 PM)

Akin to what was done with Matt Tracker in 2008.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 12:18 PM)

Again, not a PURE transplant, but an integration of ideas and concepts into the world of GI Joe.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 12:18 PM)

@Wonko The Cobra Overlord, with help from Dr. Mindbender and Cesspool, develops machines capable of generating a mind-controlling fog. GI Joe stalwarts Flint, Airtight, Lifeline, and Psyche-Out are joined by Colonal Courage to infiltrate these zones and disable the machines. Figures would sport hostile environment suits (Eco warriors cross with Spiral Zone) and make new versions of the mono-wheel vehicles.

@  Maximus Ambus : (19 September 2020 - 09:39 AM)

Hasbroverse.2 with bought properties: Bravestarr, Ulysses 31, Galaxy Rangers, Shadow Raiders, Manta Force, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Mighty Orbots, Jem and Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines. Seamless.

@  wonko the sane? : (19 September 2020 - 08:32 AM)

While acknoledging spiral zone would be pretty boss, I doubt they could actively integrate it into anything else: given the scale of the villains deeds.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 08:03 AM)

COPS, Spiral Zone, Shadow Strikers, Action Man, Centurions, MegaForce. They wouldn’t replicate the old lines, but simply acknowledging their existence would be nifty.

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 September 2020 - 08:01 AM)

I would love to see GI Joe become something of a “celebration of action figures”. Hasbro has SO MANY old action figure properties, and many could slot into the GI Joe umbrella with relative ease.

@  Otaku : (19 September 2020 - 12:04 AM)

G.I. Joe, CyberCOPS, and M.A.S.K. all seem like something that would work from Animated or Prime, though CyberCOPS might have been a bit trickier from Prime.

@  Sabrblade : (18 September 2020 - 11:02 PM)

Rik Alvarez originally wanted the last episode of Prime to spinoff into a new MASK reboot.

Naw, just scrambled eggs. Butter helps, too, obviously. (Crazy nonstick pan makes it unnecessary, but it still tastes better.)

And, I mean, if there's some bacon lying around, maybe just cooked without cleaning the pan - and some cheese -

But it's still not an omelette.

Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

One time I had some leftover plain chicken bits that I didn't want to get dry overnight in the fridge. I also had 1/3 cup of raspberry tea. Stuffed the chicken into the mug. The next day, it was nice and moist with a slight fruity flavor. I imagine that this could work with most fruity teas, juices, or soda.

Also, there was a Ren fair that had a root beer & black licorice drink that was absolutely delicious. Not a fan of black licorice otherwise.

Is it bad that I like putting milk or cream in any and all scrambled eggs, and generally Tabasco sauce as well? I feel like that just makes them taste more like eggs than eggs do when they're just eggs.

I do put milk in mine as well. Tastes good and stretches them out some. If you want fluffier eggs though add water. Yeah I know water??? it really does make them fluffier when you beat them.  That sounds so wrong.

Makes sense. It's going to boil out in the frying and leave bubbles.

Made Chicken Enchiladas for my sister and nieces on Friday.

3 boneless chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)

8 oz. cream cheese.

8 oz. sour cream

1 can mushroom soup

1 packet of enchilada season.

1 cup of shredded cheese (put in the mixture)

10 tortillas (actually depends on the size.  I use the medium sized ones)

1 big can of Enchilada sauce.

2 cups of shredded cheese (on top before baking)

Bake 40 minutes (or until bubbling) at 350.

It was so freaking good, I was about to die.

This might sound odd but truth is I am a bit odd.  I recently accidently spilled some potato salad onto a PB&J sandwich. It was good. I made a sandwich with the potato salad in between the PB and J god it was good.  Don't mock till you try it.

A staple of my youth and a favorite part of family camping trips was a dish called "Squaw Corn".  I don't know if it goes by another name elsewhere, but it is made thusly:

You need hamburger, onion, green pepper, tomato soup, whole kernel corn.

Fry the hamburger, onion and green pepper together in a skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste till hamburger is brown, then add corn and soup and simmer till done.

This can then be treated in different ways depending on personal taste.

You can pour it over corn chips on a plate, top with lettuce/cheese/sour cream/salsa.

Alternatively it can be put in a bowl (with various additions to taste) and then eaten with corn chips as scoops.

This was something my grandmother always made on family trips and I have no idea where she got it or why it's called Squaw Corn (since it bears more resemblance to stereotypical Hispanic food than Native American), but it's damn tasty and very satisfying.

Growing up, we were "poor" and my mom made this one dish a lot (when she was actually home).  We always had a ton of rice sine it was cheap and simple.  Over the years, though, I have tweaked it.

Mom's original recipe:(she never told me how much of everything)

rice

browned hamburger

mushroom soup

corn

salt & pepper to taste

My tweaked recipe:

1 lb. hamburger (sausage works better, imo)

2 cans of mushroom soup

1 small bag of frozen corn

2 cups of rice (cooked)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 Tbs. butter

Just enough milk to make the soup a creamy pudding like consistency.

Mix it all together and heat through.  Boom, instant nummy rice.  Well, I use my rice cooker for the rice while I'm cooking the hamburger, then add the soup and corn to the hamburger to warm up, and add that mixture to the rice when it's done.

I tried making the tater tot casserole thing last night... but the veggies I had were suffering from freezer burn, and i didn't have tater tots so I used hash brown patties instead. Came out ok, probably needed more cheese and the taters didn't get crispy, should've broken the patties up instead of leaving them whole.

Here's a simple chicken recipe. Instead of bread crumbs, you can also use stuffing. Typically TMM & I will use different flavors of condensed soup (eg one can cheese and one can asparagus) for a slightly different taste.

Yeah, I use almost a hole bag of shredded cheese, because I'm a cheese type person.  Plus, crispy taters are what makes it good, besides the crap ton of cheese.
