It can be a nebulous thing, and much like a lot of things is a spectrum, so it doesn't always fit a neat and clean box.
I'll give my own experience, I mostly feel like the woman I am, especially when it comes to my relationship. I can't see myself in a male role or even calling myself a boyfriend. It feels wrong, but occasionally I just don't feel like anything specific - and it's hard to tell if maybe I'm fluid, a bit enby, or just overthinking it all and confusing being comfortable with being uncertain.
I primarily use She/They to identify myself anymore - and have sort of come to think that people shouldn't get quite so caught up in trying to fit into a box and stay there. If you need to move around through the gender spectrum to find a place you feel comfortable, or even if moving around a bit be what makes you comfortable just know that we'll all support you, respect you and back you through it all.
I guess my answer to your question is, 1. It's not a stupid question, it's a very valid question, 2. You can feel like your assigned gender doesn't match and still not be certain about any of this. So, yeah, you can feel both trans (as a specific binary, which is what I'm guessing you meant by that) and also like you're genderfluid or nonbinary. It's not a clean line, imo. And 3. We've got your back. <3
