Couldn't hurt. I've come out to a lot of people over email/online because I'm bad at face to face confrontations.

My brother received the letter over the weekend; he's replied saying that it's left him with "more questions than answers". I'm visiting him between Christmas and New Year, so he said he wants to talk when my niece is out of the way. No response as yet from my parents, but I'm not feeling very optimistic

I met up with my brother over the holidays, but it was a bittersweet experience. We had a lovely Christmas party with my niece, and they were delighted with their gifts. When she wasn't around he told me that he was still against my transition, and that he thought I was being led astray by my friends and wouldn't have dreamed of transitioning without their influence. I told him that you can't talk someone into being trans, anymore than you can talk someone out of it, but he just can't (or won't) listen right now The information I sent him seems to have gone over his head, and he just doesn't understand why I want to transition. What will it take to get through to him, and my parents?
