Why do people only use the "Like" emoji but not the faces?

Generally, good practice in web design is to not have the same object do one thing if you click it and a different, equally useful thing if you mouse over it and wait for a moment. Also helps to not label said object with only one of those two things.

I'm directing this at the Xenforo guys, specifically whoever took over recently because I'm on another Xenforo board where the react button works completely differently. But maybe it's something that can be fixed with a mod. Do forum engines still have mods?

Consider it more of a self-loathing thing.

Incidentally, as a secondary concern, I feel I should also throw in that I think going =) looks more like Mega Man-styled eyes, which should be obvious why I like that.
