Throw back ritual and chanting to actual monarchies way back when. Pomp and circumstance now, but still: No, absolutely not. Allegiance is EARNED, not blithely given because someone was BORN and didn't die quickly.

A good start.
My dad went on a tirade about how the monarchy are great and this and that during a video chat. When I tried to counter him, he just talked over me, so i closed the call and then messaged him to ask him to stop talking over me and to refrain from sharing his right wing views with me from now on. H e was fuming. He was once someone I looked up to, but he's become a right wing, racist, etc in his old age...
