That's depressing.
I wonder how much it actually made when you subtract what they spent on relentless marketing spam. It was obnoxious.
Enough to greenlight two sequels and buttloads of merchandise at least.

KISS got their popularity during the "rock music is SATAN!" panic. Then everyone started doing it. Now their music is just....generic classic rock.
