Republicans have already vowed to impeach Garland if they retake congress. He doesn't have much to lose by doing something at work sometime.

Christian groups, who may be "pro-life" (and thus quite sensitive to such chemicals being distributed) seem to have several sites refuting this claim:

Probably not a direct link, but extreme stressors CAN increase the chances of a miscarriage, especially in women genetically susceptible to them. There's also the fact that such stress can lead to a sudden surge in various hormones and if such a release is triggered at certain points in fetal development it can cause changes in epigenetics. If said event leads to the expression of a faulty gene that would normally have remained dormant, a birth defect could result.

Question really is HOW much of an increase in risk exposure really is.

Again, there is no direct evidence to support the belief that teargas causes any abortifacient effects in humans. We need more data before drawing conclusions.

Honestly, 8 feet is a reasonable distance to limit all bystanders but the specification of filming makes the intent of this transparent.

Or the police could walk up to anyone and keep making them walk "8 feet away" from the officer walking up to them...

It's a vague law which will almost certainly be abused by the police.
