SO I finished the GBA Castlevania ports only to go into Metroid. Okay then.
I'm loving Dread so far but dear god the backtracking is insufferable with how huge the maps get. At least Castlevania had the decency to have warp rooms.

Dread has warp rooms.
They have them between subareas but you still have to traverse the subareas themselves once you get there. If there are dedicated warps within the areas, they don’t give me the option to
ah ok. i just saw the teleporter on a stream, and thought they worked like castlvania ones.
They work as basically doors. Each teleporter is linked to a specific other teleporter in another area and only goes to or from that other one.
