From that new movie? Well, will see if it sticks.

I didn't watch the Mystery Incorporate version but they had Fred and Shaggy be roommates. Same with Daphne and Velma. And also -

(Spoiler'd as it might be upsetting)

‘I thought my boyfriend of 10 years was going to propose – then he told me he was trans’

I consider myself an LGBTQ+ ally. But I wasn’t prepared for the shock and confusion I’d feel when the person I thought I’d spend my life with told me their secret...

Tokyo starts accepting same-sex partnership applications

photo_l.jpg

The Tokyo metropolitan government on Tuesday began accepting applications from sexual minorities to have their partnerships publicly recognized, ahead of the program's launch on (the 1st of November)...

...Japan does not legally recognize same-sex marriage, but couples who obtain a certificate under the system will be able to apply for municipal housing and be briefed on their partner's medical condition at municipal hospitals...

...Nine prefectures have already introduced some form of partnership system in the country. They are Aomori, Akita, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Mie, Osaka, Fukuoka and Saga.

Japan was among the worst performing countries within the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in terms of the implementation of laws concerning lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people, according to a recent OECD report...

On the cartoon side, I haven't seen Paranormal Park season 2 but while trying to find a trailer to link here, I saw a related spoiler. Anyhow, the bigger main character is trans.

And if you don't follow Owl House, the first 27 seconds of the season 3 intro is a bi bi bi celebration.

Thai transgender tycoon buys Miss Universe contest

_127391805_annejakapongjakrajutatip.jpg

A Thai celebrity media tycoon - who is a transgender woman - has bought the company that runs the Miss Universe beauty pageants for $20m (£17.1m)...

...Ms Jakrajutatip's purchase came as the Miss Universe pageant has moved towards being more inclusive.

From next year, organisers have said that married women and mothers will be allowed to compete for the title.

The competition was previously only open to women who had never been married, and had no children.

The pageant has been held annually for 71 years and is broadcast in more than 160 countries.

(Spoiler'd as it might be upsetting)

(And double-posted from the Florida thread)

Oliver Laughland travels to Walt Disney World, Florida, to see how a law restricting the teaching of LGBTQ+ issues is affecting voters in the run-up to the midterm elections

Republicans extended their majority in the state in 2020, and with far-right Governor Ron DeSantis up for re-election, will his divisive culture wars help him win a second term?

He was being accused of queerbaiting since he didn't want to define his sexuality. I have a feeling there was a message or something that finally broke the camel's back.

Poor guy.

This is a story about Japanese LGBQT+ teens.

Due to the depressing and possibly strong negative feelings or imagery of this story/link, I've hidden it behind spoiler tags. Please do not read this if you are susceptible to such things.

"...Nearly half of LGBTQ teenagers in Japan considered suicide in the past year at 48 percent, 3.8 times higher than the overall figure for their age group, results from a recent survey showed.

The survey, conducted by ReBit, a nonprofit organization that supports LGBTQ youth, also showed 14 percent of teenagers surveyed had attempted to take their own lives...

However, there has been a small piece of positive news:
