I love both of them. All of the Japanese G1 characters were ace.
HasLab Victory Saber

Loving this guy so far. But how do I get the sword in the hilt? I feel like I’m going to break something.
Nevermind. I got it. He’s amazing. Only complaint is I wish the sword was bigger. It looks small compared to the size of him. And the wings were a little bigger.
Mine came yesterday. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The only maybe QC issue is that I'm assuming Fire's ladder is supposed to be on a mushroom peg? It's just a peg and hole now, with a little bit of a ridge to suggest it was supposed to be a mushroom, so I'm guessing that's just mold degradation. Not really a problem though.
My only complaints would be that Fire's head is too tight to turn easily, and I kinda wish Saber was just a little bit bigger. With Fire, I think it's the paint making his head a really tight fit. Mine was looking off to the side, and I had to use a pair of tweasers to turn his head. Scratched off a tiny bit of paint doing so. For Saber, since he was seen to be the same size as Perceptor, Wheeljack, and Minerva in the show, I would've like him to be a full-sized deluxe. Instead, he's on the small side of deluxe sizes, closer to a minibot. Neither's a big deal, but if I could change anything, that's what it would be.
Oh, and stickers. His aren't the horrible TR foil stickers, and there's only the two, but I just generally dislike stickers. I went ahead and applied them, but I may yet just remove them and leave those wings white.
Aside from those nitpicks, he's great! The biggest thing that stands out to me is just how much better he is than Legends God Ginrai. That's a figure that can get the look decently right, but isn't something I want to handle very much. But VS is remarkably solid for such a large combined figure. He doesn't just look good. He feels great in hand. And that's just such a pleasant feeling.

I’ll get out my G1 version in a day or 2. But this puts Masterpiece to shame.
The sword is in the "wrong" way round. To do it the "right" way, you need to turn it so the blade is rotated 90°.
I do wish the sword blade was bigger as well, this is kind of like Legacy Motor Master with his sword, not quite right for basic robot mode and not good enough for combiner mode, I'm hoping a third party or someone who does 3D Printing upgrades can resolve that issue
I can't believe how rough the Masterpiece looks next to HasLab. It's been a good few years, but HasLab fixed things I didn't know were wrong.
To be a little fair, the MP was going for total animation model accuracy. The HasLab one isn't.
I got mine (THANK YOU RICHARD! I didn't have the means of backing it when it was out and there was certainly no way I'd have been able to do aftermarket!). No issues at all, the hips on the police car are a bit loose but that can be solved easily.
The joints and fit are better than any other 'off the shelf' Transformer I've handled in recent history. Nothing required filing, polishing, or tweaking to work properly, which I know sounds weird but I'm serious, it's been very hit or miss lately.

Damn I love this thing. G1, Robot Masters and Masterpiece. I still kinda want the KFC Simba but this HasLab takes a lot of that want away.
Maybe prices for the Robot Masters set will finally go down.

I understand that the Micromaster weapon modes weren't the most popular thing in Siege, but when you can call a weapon a Holi Fire...I don't think it's something that should be slept on.
Time to hitch some cars to my train of thought!
"Holi Fire" makes me think of the Dio song "Holy Diver".
Which reminds me of my favorite line from the song: "Between the velvet lies, There's a truth as hard as steel"
Leading me to believe the line can be the 'motto' to fit the IDW05 version of the character everybody loves,,,

My Saber arrived on Saturday mid afternoon. Aside from a small wrinkle on a box end, everything looks good. I have not had an opportunity to take them out to play with them yet, but surface wise they look amazing.
I'm going to have to clean off my shelves to make some room. I knew it'd be a big set, but I didn't realize just how big that box would be. Time for shelf refresh!

The sword blade can slide into a slot in his V-Star leg. It doesn't really clip in, it just slides in and then the transformation closes the compartment.
