Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

You know, with the Buzzworthy Parasite/Skywasp figure, combined with Legacy Nightprowler, Hasbro proper is finally giving us the unreleased Universe "Halloween Horrorcon" Waspinator/Nightprowler 2-pack, albeit in updated mold form and released separately from each other, but still!

Toy color Dinobot? Yes, please. More members for T-Wrecks’ Maximals/Autobot to go up against Nemesis Primal’s Predacons/Decepticons.

Moving this to its proper thread:
Possible Legacy Ransack. I’d personally like a remold of waspinator for the character.

With Toy Colors Scorponok, Parasite/Skywasp, and now Ransack all now seen, all that remains to be seen is the supposed lead man of the set, Goldbug.

Seeing Ransack has me really hoping that we can get updated versions of the remaining two Deluxe Insecticons at some point.

I know, Venom got an update with Thrilling 30, but I'm hoping for something more substantial than a repaint of a pseudo-Targetmaster. Plus Barrage is long overdue for a new toy.

We need a larger chop shop too!

I respectfully disagree, because I kind of prefer the size of the last Chop Shop we got. However, it looks like chances are better that if we get updates of the other two, they will be in the deluxe scale, so in the interest of making a cohesive set of four, I do hope a deluxe Chop Shop is on the table.

Seems to have a bit of a disappointing amount of remolding compared to Fangry. He could have done with a new lower waist/crotch or different wings.

UK specialist retailers report that they are receiving (and will be able to sell) the new four pack from this Friday, so presumably it will be announced by... Target? Is it Target in the US, I forget? This week, anyway.

I don't know what to hope for on this front. I absolutely want a good Goldbug toy that looks like his classic design. I absolutely want any Deluxe Insecticons (preferably all of them.)

But I also do not want to buy an $80 something dollar multipack.

So do I want them to look good or bad?

-ZacWilliam, kinda moot actually because I already have seen and want Ransack

I don't think we're going to specifically have to worry about this Goldbug so much, as it will most likely be a straight repaint of the Shattered Glass version with the Cliffjumper body-mold, AKA the wrong mold. I doubt the exclusivity window with Walmart and the VW mold has closed. Round-about way of saying there'll be another true stand-alone correct Goldbug coming down the pike in the future.

Trouble with the VW mold is, even after Wal-Mart's exclusivity ends, there's still a need to license it from VW. I'm not sure I would bank on the VW returning...

If Hasbro wasn't on recent good terms w/VW I'd wager that might be an issue. I'd also wager that the license is still current with the PF deluxe SS 'bee repaint that came out earlier this year. I would hope that we didn't just get a "classics" VW 'bee just because Hasbro had a license hold-over from the Bee Movie and therefore had an opportunity to use it...and while we're not privy to the terms of the license (per toy?) or the length of Walmart's exclusivity, I don't think Bumblebee's popularity as a VW has really waned since 1984 so one would think Hasbro would want to hold onto their literal license to print money - as long as it's not exorbitantly expensive year after year.

While you're not wrong, and I hope that we DO see more iterations of the VW classic Bee mold, I still think it's wise not to count on a future 'corrrect' release when judging whether to buy the 4-pack Goldbug. Things happen, stuff gets unreleased, even when it seems like a sure thing.

Personally, I hope we eventually get classic VW Bee in red someday.
