    Transformers Legacy toyline

I think it'd be hilarious if this Straxus mold did see a mainline release... but remolded with the Stupid Sexy Straxus head. :D

Transformers: One - New Animated Prequel coming September 20th, 2024 - New Toy Official Images!

This actually reminds me a bit of Brian Ruckley's early IDW run, which is kind of a neat thing to feel nostalgia for.

That robot mode is gorgeous. It's really too bad the vehicle mode (which isn't terrrrible) looks nothing like his old Viper form. (And I know haterz gunna hate, but that original Side Burn toy remains one of my favorite TFs to transform. Yes, it's ridiculously fiddly, but there's a certain joy...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Anyone else digitally subscribed to Void Rivals through Amazon/Comixology and not get #8? Usually you get charged for an issue a week or two in advance, but it looks like my subscription hiccupped and paid for #9 early (two weekends ago) and skipped #8 entirely. I suppose at this point I'll just...

I'm sorry, but "Here's 12 new toys redecoed as 12 old toys"--while perhaps the sanest/safest course of action to take with a MW-themed convention set--is by far the most boring option.

The second iteration of IDW Transformers is one of my favorite pieces of fiction

I didn't mind the slowness. I think Ruckley wrote the slow buildup better than he did the action, which got a bit samey towards the end. I loved his penchant for grabbing characters from absolutely anywhere and mixing them all up. It would have been really interesting to see where he would have...

I can get my Snarl's forehead to barely sit flush by messing with the ball joints of his legs (that are inside his head) but the right side still tends to pop out once everything else gets snapped firmly into place.

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

I went to download my issue #5 from Amazon, but it said the e-version won't be released until Feb 21st...?!

Dynamite Entertainment to produce Transformers G1 trading card set

I was just recently going through my old X-Files and Marvel/X-Men trading cards, and thinking how I would be extremely tempted by a modern set of collectible cards. I wasn't expecting TFs to immediately read my mind...

    Jose Delbo has passed away

RIP to one of the greats. His Marvel G1 run has to be the longest uninterrupted run for any TF artist, no? (#s 36 to 60, I believe?)

How dare you, sir! Prime's disembodied head straight from the comics is the main selling point for this set.

40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

I love the idea of Blue Bolts, but man, these don't look like that much of an upgrade from the originals. Like, I had to look real close at those renders of Fire Convoy's truck and super robot modes to convince myself they weren't the 2001 versions. (The smaller 'bot mode definitely gives it...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Yeah, it was revealed early on that DWJ was only doing the first 6-issue arc. I didn't realize he was continuing on as writer, though. (Definitely won't complain there!) The wiki described that as Reflector being rebuilt, which I mostly made out. My real question was, if Cybertronian tech is...

Loved issue #4. That final shot of Optimus was a shocker. LET'S GOOOOO

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Issue two was great, agreed with many of the posts above: the opening convo with Optimus is the highlight of the series so far (besides DWJ's fantastic Art-with-a-capital-A). In fact, I was surprised to find myself "hearing" Peter Cullen's voice during Prime's speech, and I'm not sure I've ever...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Of course the POV is Spike (with Carly)! The entirety of the issue follows Spike dealing with his dad, discussing his future with Carly, stumbling across the Ark, witnessing the revival of the Transformers and deciding to help out the clearly-less-homicidal robot, and then guiding the Autobots...
