Chris Ryall announced early last month that he was leaving his position as IDW’s Editor in Chief and Chief Creative Officer, from which he has helmed IDW’s comics output since 2004. Per CBR.com, he’s now taken a role with the editorial staff of Skybound Entertainment, known for the Walking Dead franchise.

Last year, IDW picked up the torch after Archie Comics’ decades of work on the Sonic the Hedgehog brand, announcing a new series in February. Released just a week ago on April 4, issue #1 has sold out. Sonic is set to release its first four issues this month, with #2 already available and two more to go.
