New Studio Series Listings: Cogman and Hightower
Ever-diligent Internet researcher Nevermore has alerted us to possible new Studio Series figures that have new listings on Amazon’s Australian site.
Amazon Australia now has webpages for “Cogman” and “Hightower“, at present displaying “currently unavailable”. The product codes for Cogman and Hightower are in the same general range as that of Deluxe Class 27 Clunker Bumblebee, whose wave was revealed last month at Fan Expo Canada 2018, for release some time in 2019.
Cogman, as many viewers remember, was the human-sized Transformer companion of Sir Anthony Hopkins’s character Sir Edmund Burton in 2017’s Transformers: The Last Knight. The eccentric Autobot-allied butler-bot made Burton’s explanations of human-Cybertronian history “more epic” by playing an organ accompaniment. Cogman’s Deluxe Class figure was hard to find in the U.S. but was more readily available in other Hasbro markets.
Meanwhile, Hightower was one of the Decepticon Constructicons in 2009’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (and probably not named “Hook” due to trademark reasons). Having a yellow crane alt-mode but never transforming or speaking, Hightower and several of his comrades (the exact number is difficult to ascertain given the movie’s editing) formed Devastator, the Combiner perhaps best remembered for attacking an Egyptian pyramid while his anatomy was visible. Hightower received a smaller Legends Class (aka the later Legion Class) figure as well as a larger component sans robot mode in the Devastator multi-pack.
