RID Showrunner Confirms Optimus Prime Shops at Amazon

With Robots in Disguise preparing to ride off into the sunset and make room for the mysterious Cyberverse, fans have been making the most of RID Producer and Story Editor Adam Beechen’s fondness for taking questions on his website. Be warned, this article may contain spoilers!

If you ever wanted to know the name of an obscure background character (hint: they probably don’t have one) or need help telling Goldgear and Hi-Test apart, Beechen is at your disposal. Was RoughEdge previously a museum guard? Where did the Scavengers end up? How many episodes will RID run? (It’s 71, don’t believe Hasbro Studios when they tell you 78.)

Beechen’s open door is a great example of creators taking time to interact with their fans. For someone at Beechen’s level to not only be this accessible but also so willing to engage with fans that he’ll take a question and go off to check old scripts and production documents to ensure he provides the right answer is quite remarkable.

Personally, if there was one question I could ask the RID team… well, it’s this question:

How come the plans to bring back Jack, Miko, and Raf never materialized?

I never had any plan to bring back those characters.

Then what. Was the point. Of this show even existing?!

But seriously, thanks to Adam Beechen and the rest of the RID team for a great run. Is this the end of the journey we started almost seven years ago in Transformers: Prime? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, if you still have a burning question about Robots in Disguise… ask away!
