Thundercracker Annual, Unicron & More Announced By IDW!

Via Newsarama, we have a bevy of news from IDW Publishing’s First Strike panel at San Diego Comic-Con! New announcements and teaser abound, so read on for the details!

First Strike
  • A complete, self-contained story.
  • Scarlett is a key character, torn between her past allegiances and the current threat to Cybertron.
  • John Barber helped keep continuity on track.
  • Micronauts/Rom one-shots by Christos Gage and Chris Panda, with the Micronauts discovering the Dire Wraiths trying to make themselves a virus.
  • G.I. Joe/M.A.S.K. one-shots by Aubrey Sitterson and Ilias Kyriazis, with museum heists, kung-fu fights, and giant robots with explosions and lasers! Shipwreck will have to take over the team as V.E.N.O.M. attacks.
  • Optimus Prime/Revolutionaries one-shots by John Barber and Guido Guidi, which will take place on Cybertron. Will deal with the Transformers having to react to the war with Earth without Optimus Prime.
G.I. Joe: Unmasked
  • New series starting November, by Aubrey Sitterson and Nelson Daniel.
  • Matt Trakker joins G.I. Joe.
  • Joe will face Hasbro’s Army Ants!
Rom & The Micronauts
  • New series starting December, by Christos Gage and Paolo Villanelli.
  • The Micronauts help Rom fight a Dire Wraith god!
The Transformers: Till All Are One Annual
  • Out December, by Mairghread Scott and Sara Pitre-Durocher.
  • An election to rule Cybertron between Windblade, Starscream and Elita One. Dirty tricks abound!
Visionaries
  • New series starting December, by Maggs Visaggio and Fico Ossio.
Transformers Annual
  • “Thundercracker in: Starscream: The Movie”, written by John Barber.
  • Thundercracker finally begins his screenwriting career!
And finally…
  • Unicron is coming!
