Hasbro Reveals G.I. Joe SDCC Exclusive Missile Base Reproduction

Hasbro has revealed its big exclusive G.I. JOE item for this year’s San Diego Comic Con: A reproduction of the 1982 Sears-exclusive Cobra Missile Command Headquarters. The base comes with Cobra Commander, Cobra Officer, and Cobra Trooper figures as well as file cards.

The original Missile Command Headquarters playset is one of the hardest items to find in the original G.I. JOE toyline due to its fragility and scarcity. This reproduction features all-new artwork resembling the original.

The figures appear to reuse existing 25th/30th/50th Anniversary pieces, but notably use the early “Mickey Mouse” Cobra symbol.

The package design appears to faithfully reproduce the original box, and even has weathering and scuffing so you can pretend it’s been sitting in your aunt’s attic for 35 years.

According to a press release, the set will retail for $49.99 and will be available at Hasbro’s booth at SDCC (#3329).
