Great News for Sci-Fi fans – The Expanse is Coming Back for Another Season

Say what you want about some of the choices SyFy network has made over the years – the latest crop of original series from them have been really good. Dark Matter, Killjoys and The Expanse chief among them. While the former two series combine action and levity, The Expanse goes into a bit more of the serious side of science fiction.
Set 200 years in the future, Earth has colonized various parts of the solar system and nationalistic tensions run high between Earth, Mars and the asteroid based mining colonies. In season one, the story followed several seemingly unrelated characters as their stories led to a convergence as the pieces started to fill in.
It’s a bit of a slow burn at the start, but with top notch acting and great writing, the series has a good chance of cementing itself as a cult classic.

The story of THE EXPANSE unfolds across a colonized galaxy 200 years in the future, when two strangers – a hardened detective, Joe Miller (Thomas Jane), and a rogue ship’s captain, James Holden (Steven Strait) – become unwittingly swept up in a vast conspiracy to cover up a horrific human experiment. As Season 2 kicks off with interplanetary tensions at an all-time high, the cold war between Earth and Mars is on the brink of an all-out battle.
